Re: im in agony.....
Hi hun, I had the same took tramadol its a sleepy pain killer I knew it would hurt because I had high profile and under, so I requested a stronger painkiller. Don't be afraid to have codeine if you are ok with it and you can take along side paracetamol. You have to remember this is major trauma its a big operation and paracetamol won't work for some headaches!
You need to rest, sleep and take something strong until you feel comfortable but most important is to do nothing and try to ride this out, it will get easier i promise :flowers: xx

Re: im in agony.....
Hi hun
I am 2weeks post BA. I had 575cc extra high profiles. I used the Icepack pads (u know the ones? the gel type blacket sort) They was gr8 as u can get a big size to cover the over ur boobies and under them, or you can have the small pads (useful if its just on one one boob or in a certain place) I would swear by them. Also I was advised my PS to take 1000mg of Bromelain 24/48hrs after op for 2weeks. Also to take arnica tabs 2weeks be4 surgery (im still taken these aswell) said to help with brusing and swelling. I myself have had a gr8 recovery so far (sorry hun) not sure if its the tabs i have been taken or just that the surgeon is meant to specialize in minimal brusing and swelling.
I would also advised using some sort of fan, air con in this weather to reduce the swelling too as the hotter you get the more u swell.
I would be very careful taking anything that may make you feel too sleepy or out of it, as with this comes the problem of thinking ur ok due to the pain killers working too well and you could cause yourself more probs in the long run.
Happy healing hun, and soon you'll be enjoying ur new boobies.

Hi BKOZ
Glad to be of use, lol. I bet your soooooo excited now. You wont be able to sleep at all the night before (well i couldnt anyways) . Keep intouch hun.
Hi Jen,
I didnt have any pain either, the ice packs was because it was sooooo flippin warm and I didnt want them swelling too much causing any probs with the scaring, so icepacks and aircon on day an night, the fella thought he was in the Iceland when in our bedroom, bless him.
The only pain I got was from a very badly made bra (although said to be gr8, must of been a one off) but once I had another bra on, feel much better, and waiting for my others to arrive.
I'm feeling Gr8. I took the dressings off yesterday and my 1st full shower (HEAVEN) the stiches are looking fab, 1st time I looked at boobies naked standing up and the surgeon has done a brill job. I was sooo nervous this time around as I wanted to go with same surgeon as my 1st BA as he done the job perfect (in looks wise, was in alot of pain after that one) But these beauties look gr8, cant wait to start looking better in my clothes and buying bras.
How you healing Jen?

Re: im in agony.....
Hay Hun,
How you feeling today?
the swelling takes quite some time to totally dissapear but the pain should start to settle by the 2 week mark.......I couldnt move my arms for the 1st weekm it just hurt so much! And morning I would wake up with the most swollen boobies ever and it was so painfull but again this will settle
Ice is the way to go and really helps

Re: im in agony.....
hi ladies thank you sooooooo much for your informative replys,
Dr had me on 15 tablets a day at moment starting with codeine(tylex) difene, Augmentin the painkillers are 8 per day but i have to say i really should of went back for something stronger i heard about the tramadol hear they really are good, Ive missed the dr as its sat but might give them a ring today see what i can get. But in 5 years time for re-op i will be more prepared!!!
So good to hear that i can use ice...... soooo happy to hear!!!! im going to the freezer right now. I went back to nurse yesterday to get bangage off and stiches trimmed, Sportsbra on, the nurse said im healing well and when i mentioned that i have little or no use of my arms she said some girls will get slight nerve damage which just needs to heal along with chest, I miss most of all is hugging my 5 yr old!!!!!!
the pain is mostly in upper arms/under arms and sharp pains in around nipples but not saying to scare anyone who is getting it probably recommend getting the right painkillers, BUT I CANNOT MENTION ALL THIS DISCOMFORT WITHOUT MENTIONING WHEN I LOOK DOWN MY AWESOME NEW FRIENDS ( . ) ( . ) I LOVE THEM!!!! ARRANGE FOR 2 WEEKS OFF WORK, GET SOMEONE TO BE WITH YOU FOR FEW DAYS, PLENTY OF PAINKILLERS AND ARNICA AND DVDS!!!
Did anyone find one breast more sore than the other, mine are low profile is it sore when the move from being high after op into place???
