Mr Hamilton ladies - sleep advice? Empty Mr Hamilton ladies - sleep advice?

Post by Opal_Eyes 1st September 2011, 9:58 am

When I saw Mr Hamilton I asked about strapping and sleeping on your back etc. He said that he does use a strap (not a velcro one) but apart from the first week really doesn't insist on back sleeping. As long as you're wearing a good supportive sports bra then he's happy that the boobs are supported enough already. From reading on here I kind of thought it was the norm to be on your back (way-hay!) for about 4 weeks or so.

Not that I'm complaining! I hate sleeping on my back and am very happy if it's only a very short term thing. Just wondering if any Mr H ladies found they were ok to sleep on their sides quite soon after the op (am now thinking I'll be having overs if that makes any difference).

Oh gosh, it's so long ago I can't really remember! I think I used to fall asleep on my back, roll over in my sleep and then wake up because my boobs were aching! All in all though, I think I was back to normal sleeping positions at around 2 weeks.

Thanks Annie. I know it's an odd question but I get a lot of pain if I sleep on my back, and I was dreading having to do it for too long. Mr H has just put himself even higher on my list now!

The only thing I really remember now about my recovery is feeling tired and achy because I couldn't sleep very well at first.
Good luck with it - I'm sure SH will look after you well!
