Anatomical girls!
Hi, Just having a last-minute dilemma about which shape...prob due to it being May 1st today meaning my BA is now this month, very scary!!!!!!!
My surgeon said if I'm not a risk-taker, to go for rounds, and that is doesn't make much difference in the end result, but I just wanted to ask a strange question to any girls that have teardrops, which is do they sit ok when you lie down? As I read somewhere that anatomicals can look an interesting shape when lying flat! - Cd be rubbish I know but I need to be prepared!
Also did anyone's surgeon tell them that if you have very little breast tissue then anatomicals are a good option?
Thanks girls

hey
Hi,
My ps said i couldn't have rounds as it's likely the outline of the implant would be visible under my skin, i did ask for a natural look though. I know a couple of girls who've had anatomicals with my surgeon and are really happy with the results - it's still possible to get a good clevage with the right bra and risk of rotating is minimal. I think the outcome will also depend on the dimensions of the implant in comparison to your frame. With the 195g anatomicals i'm having there's the option of extra full profile which wouldnt be possible with rounds, i'll still have same diameter implant 10.0cm but will have projection of 4.9cm, whereas the full 220 rounds (allergan) would only give me 4.2cm projection... not quite sure how it works but hoping it will work in my favour as i've got a very narrow ribcage. I think its very much a personal choice and i'm sure you'll get responses from girls who are very happy with their rounds!

Re: Anatomical girls!
Hi LMT,
Good question! I'll be interested to read the replies to this one - and can give you a personal answer in a few weeks time!
I think it varies very much from person to person -
In my case there was a slight argument in favour of anatomicals because, given that I'm small AND droopy ( ) rounds could have looked a bit fake at the top when I stood up

Sorry...
I've just had a look at the allergan catalogue and i think it is possible to get x-full projection with rounds! mine will be 10cm in diameter but because they're anatomical the height will be slightly less (9.1cm) which will allow for more projection (4.9cm) if that makes sense!

Re: Anatomical girls!
Even though i was completely flat i went for rounds even though my ps recommended anatomicals for a natural look, im very happy with them and have a fab slope and no one has guessed they are implants yet x
Re: Anatomical girls!
Ah that's good to know nads, yours and moonmar's I wd have guessed were anatomicals anyway if I didn't know better! x

Re: Anatomical girls!
I was a little bit bigger than you (wore 32A bras) and I have 340cc MHP round overs and mine don't look fake or stuck on. They have a natural slope.
If you're that worried about it then anatomicals will be fine, but I'm sure you'll be fine with overs too. I think as you're not going for a massive sized implant the result will be natural either way.

Re: Anatomical girls!
LMT!! I agree with you about Nads and Moonmars and some others too ..fab
I have just removed my bra and lay down Thought I had better get it right?
Right they do not look strange at all...but what do you compare them too? Mine are not biggies, if that we make a difference I do not know either. Soo hard to even imagine boobs on your body pre-op. I cant imagine not having mine now, feel like they are just part of me, like they have always been there, that did take a while to feel like this though.
I was advised that as I had little breast tissue and wanted a natural look that anatomicals would be the best option for me, as if I had partials/overs/rounds, I may be able to feel the implant and have a rounded look.
Who knows really we are all different? Be good if we could just swap them around according to how we feel at the time
I am soo pleased I am passed your stage. I cannot feel or see my implants edges, not one person has noticed (or said) If you want another peek at my pics. if it helps and maybe Nads, MM's or others with similar size it may help. I truly wish you well xx

Re: Anatomical girls!
Thanks Mia, was hoping you'd be along (and doing proper research too for me, thank you!) It's so nice to hear that your new(ish!) boobies feel like part of you too, as that was something I was also wondering about.
After all this deliberating re shapes etc I have now decided to just wait until my final consult in 2 wks time and just really listen to my surgeon's advice on this, as I honestly don't think I can decide! (Decision-making was never my strong point...)
You are right, the whole process re choosing size is quite stressful isn't it, just that fear that you only have one chance and you have to live with the results!
Wd be good to see your piccies again anyway, sorry can't remember your pw

Re: Anatomical girls!
ps Roxychick I had forgotten you had rounds too, just had another look (sound like a right perv..) You look great, they don't look really rounded at all, so think I wd probaby be ok with either, as like u say I'm going quite small..decisions, decisions, roll on next month when it'll be too late to faff around any more!

Re: Anatomical girls!
I remember feeling so undecided, everything was so unfamiliar! I eventually went on the recommendation of my PS and I'm flippin glad I did! Any bigger and I'd be unhappy, any smaller and I'd be unhappy, but it was agonising trying to decide the weeks and days before surgery.
if only there was a magic mirror!
SW is a good surgeon and he has a great repuation on the boards, so if you feel 100% confidant with your choice of surgeon and you trust him, then you can't go wrong by listening to his reccommendation.

Re: Anatomical girls!
I am glad I got everything done within a 10 day period .. I could not have coped with all the excitement and stress you are all suffering.
Not that I had not done any research, but I just knew now or never (think my age had a little input in the decision-making process).
My P.S. said he had never come across anyone make such a quick decision... but I just knew .. gut feeling.. and he was very professional and supportive and ensured I was very aware of all risks and options. He offered to let me meet with or chat to previous clients that were willing to help others that had gone through same thing. I did not feel I wanted that at the time, although very grateful for the offer. I just had to do it.
I truly really would not know I had implants LMT. If I was near I could let you have a real peek and prod It is only that I chat about them here, I would do it again anytime. I will P.M. my password etc. please feeel free to ask me anything xx

Agreed! Mine look totally natural when I'm lying down as well, pre-op I imagined them to just stay the same whether I was standing or on my back...but it's not the case at all, they do sort of flatten out and move outwards like real boobs. Saying that, I can't see why anatomicals would do this any more than rounds.
I've had loads of compliments recently about how I'm "lucky" with my figure/boobs etc, I did have to stifle a few giggles! But I'm glad that I've got the desired result etc :)
From what I've seen, I think that you can still get a natural result with rounds, but they take a bit longer to settle and look natural. I've been starting to think that fluffing must only really happen with rounds as well, as with anatomicals all the silicon is already in place.

Re: Anatomical girls!
Hi hun, you're on a post in a forum. I would just post a little more talk to the girls and they will share pics eventually. As for your question I have rounds as I had no fullness to the top of my breast at all, it was all at the bottom. I am very happy with the way they have turned out
Re: Anatomical girls!
starfish67 wrote:Hi thanks Cookie for your reply - sorry if this appears thick - but is this a forum that Im on now ?? or is this a post ??
It doesn't appear thick at all hun
The website you're viewing here where we can have an open discussion is called a forum. The responses that are written on the forum are called posts.
Do you have any advice regarding round verses anatomical implants?? xx
I've no personal experience of anatomicals babe, but from what I've heard they're beneficial to ladies who are very thin or have very little or no breast tissue at all and offer a very natural breast shape. They also run a small risk of turning around in the pocket made for them which may require a re-op to correct the breast shape.
It it's upper fullness you're after then I don't think you'll achieve this look with anatomicals, the rounds will help you achieve this look and do give a natural fullness to the breast.
It might help to ask Jame McDiarmid in the 'ask a surgeon' section of the forum, I'm sure he'll be able to help with his experience hunni. xxx
