Corrective Proceedure Costs???
I had a BA 3 weeks ago, but did not have an uplift as advised by the PS. I had my 2 week post op consultation and my PS advised that the implants are where they should be (390cc dual plane - 34a to 34dd) but the bottom of each breast is saggy as it is not filled with the implant and he doesnt think they will change....he said he wants to see me in 3 months.
He said he wasnt happy having his name associated with my boobs - and would try and come to some arrangement with the hospital for a "deal" on having a breast lift as I cant afford the proceedure.
I was wondering what happens in circumstances like these - has anyone else only had to make part payment towards corrective surgery????

Re: Corrective Proceedure Costs???
Hi sorry I don't understand, are you saying he DID advise that you needed an uplift, or he advised that you didn't need it?
I have heard of ladies having re-ops where the surgeon says they'll waive thier fee, but the theatre and aneasthetist fees still have to be paid, so it probably works out about half price.
But don't you have any aftercare that would cover this?
xx

hey hun, thats a good thing to me that they said they will help towards the cost, becasue as you were advised a lift and decided against this, it was the surgeons desire to perform a lift which would have more likely given you the desired reaults. xx

I agree with Jen sweetness xx
I think if he advised a lift and you declined and now he is offering to sort out a deal for you to get a lift as HE is personally not happy with his own work and doesn't want his name associated with the work, then I think he should be commended for this xx I think this is a good thing xx

Re: Corrective Proceedure Costs???
Thanks girls - I apprreciate your comments. I too was expecting him to say it was my fault as I didnt take his initial advice!!! But Im back in November to see him - so will keep u posted.
Its 5 weeks now - and they really are changing as everyone said they would - so im not sure if I would pursue more surgery - bit of a dilemma, but guess costs will over rule my decision!
Thanks again xxx

That is nice of him to back up his work even if you didn't take his initial advice on getting the lift.If you need the lift don't be afraid Hun.Most of us are very pleased with our lifts! And if he is covering the fee for it,that's wonderful!Keep us posted on your decision.
I know my surgeon doesn't charge for touch up type of things but I'd have to pay for the GA.But if it was the case of needing a full lift she would have charged me if I hadn't gotten it in the beginning.
