Hey girls. 1 week post op today... I'm finding it hard to be happy, I had a lot of pain which really
Shocked me to be honest, it hurt so much that I'm dreading any future op that I might need
And it doesn't feel worth it!! Am I just stull depressed from drugs? :( xxxx

I think it's the whole process hun, you're emotions are so up in the air with the anticipation, then it's over with and you feel exhausted plus the GA takes a while to go out of your system, I think it just hits your body quite hard.

I think you'll feel differently when you're all healed and feel it's all been worth it. I'm the same as you at the minute emotions very up and down Hug xx

Oh nikki hunny, i was exactly the same, i can honestly say it took a good 3 weeks for me to feel normal again!!! The first 2 were tough and i never imagined it would be as hard as it was, i expected some pain but heard from others that having unders wasnt that bad, not sure where i went wrong but i felt awful for at least 2, things will only get better for you from now and it will totally be worth it!! xxx

Aww sorry to hear this hun, I am still pre op but I am sure from what I have read that its a combination of the GA and other medications hun. I hope you feel better soon, keep positive and remember that you wont feel like this forever hun and you have the summer to enjoy your fab new Flash.

Big hugs Hug

Sending you a Hug Nikki hun.

Were you on opitate based medication, for example strong co-codamol? If so, your low mood could be as you're slightly withdrawing from them & it can play havoc with your emotions.

It's a bit of an anti climax though innit ? All your excitement and focus gone & you're returning to work, back to the rat race. Me and Marie were saying on a PM on day 3 we were both feeling emotional. I even cried at Star Trek the other night. It was just sentimental rubbish Hysterical

Hang on in there, it's got to get better eh? We've got bra shopping to discuss yet !!

And all operations are different, doesn't mean all your furture ops are going to be as painful.

Ellie
