Surgical Report Empty Surgical Report

Post by Emme-Kate 1st August 2011, 4:44 pm

Has anyone ask for their surgical report to keep for their records? I think it's good to have a report to show exactly what they did and how tissue was removed etc.I have them from past surgeries and I'm getting my BL/BA/Lipo one this week.

I never thought of this, but it is a good idea. Do you just ask the clinic? xx

Surgical Report Empty Re: Surgical Report

I have had several surgeries and solid breast tumor removals so I always ask. I have never had to pay so far. This way I have it on hand if I ever re-op or have a complication with another surgeon down the road. You'll know everything they did to you.I called today and they will have mine ready when I go in on the August 5th.The nurse said its free (condensed version) unless I want the whole report (which I do) then it's $1.00 a page.I also needed to know what GA they used on me since this was the 1st time I ever got sick after a surgery.I threw up several times after I got home. But had no pain or anything afterward. It was weird for me.

Hi Jen86,mine won't.They will only give it to me with a photo ID because it's part of your private medical records and photos are in it as well. But I'm in the states,it may be different near you ; )

Ho PoppyBee! I'm sure you can get your report. You had the lift so it will be good to know all the details.Did they send the tissue removed to a lab to be checked? They sent mine.I'm not sure if that's common for them to do or if they just did it in my case due to my family's health history.
