Double bubble with overs?
Hello :)
I was wondering if any of you ladies with overs had experienced double bubble or is it something only seen with unders?
Many thanks :)

Re: Double bubble with overs?
thankyou Shelsuit :)
I am currently weighing up the pros and cons of changing placement due to bad distortion.. my PS said DB is poss with both placements..
Are there any other 'over' ladies who can add their advice pretty please? :)

Re: Double bubble with overs?
Hi hun, I have overs and have not had DB, it is usually more common with unders but can occur with both placements.
Re: Double bubble with overs?
i had partials and have slight db in my left breast. Im having my surgeon look at it n confirm on tuesday. Its not really obvious, but more so in pictures....gutted tho really, wish they were all done and sorted tbh xx

Re: Double bubble with overs?
many different ways really. I think ive developed it becasue i needed a lift not just a ba. I was adviced a ba, but told in the future i may choose to have a lift. as it turns out, i perhaps should have just had a lift as i have slight db. It isnt terrible but irratating. My breast tissue droops over my implant a little bit and from the front you can see a small crease along the inside of my boob. The db isnt visible from the side like worse cases. Sometimes a change of placement can make it go away, but not in all cases. Sometimes a bigger implant is suggested, but i imagine the best way to be sure it will go is to have a lift of some sort. Its usually common in women with breast that were saggy pre surgery.

Re: Double bubble with overs?
Jen, are u like me in that you feel ur boob is hanging off the end of the implant? It just doesn't 'feel' right does it.. like the implant and the boob arn't 'married' together.
Feels like I'm in limbo :(
My PS says it isn't classified as DB because nipple not below crease.. well I reckon it will be before long.
My PS is taking my concerns seriously tho, he's seen me 5 times since surgery and is sending me for a free 2nd opinion. I can't fault is efforts to help. I hope u get the same help too.
I'd be most interested to hear what ur PS says at your appointment.

Re: Double bubble with overs?
I haven't got DB just yet and hope I don't, however I am only 5 weeks post op. I thought it was more common in unders rather than overs.
So what problems r u having??

Re: Double bubble with overs?
I had DB and muscle flex distortion on both sides (worse on right) and had a placement change which more or less corrected it. 2 years on I still have very very slight distortion (apparently due to scar tissue) and I can still see the DB on the right altho it's so slight no one else would notice and it doesn't bother me.
I have lots of theories as to why I got it. I trained a lot before my op so maybe my chest muscles were too strong, I was borderline uplift but probably wouldn't have gone for that even if it had been suggested but mainly I think it was just one of those things. My ps suggested unders as at the time I didn't have much breast tissue (since then I've gained weight so now have more than enough!)
Contessina be firm with your ps and make sure everything u say is recorded in your notes. I was very lucky as I didn't have to fight for a reop but so many girls do. X

Re: Double bubble with overs?
I have been told I am at risk of a DB. I dont have very big or saggy breasts but I am a high risk apparently. My Dr has said that I need anatomical overs and I cant go very large or it will be more noticiable.
I have hard breast to fit implants apparently! I didnt think that I would have any problems.

Re: Double bubble with overs?
Sally, did u have your placement changed before you gained weight? If so do u think ur implants where noticably more noticable (!) in the sub-glandular position compared to your unders?

Re: Double bubble with overs?
I had my reop 10 weeks after my original BA. I was expecting to be told I had to wait 6 months as a lot of people had but my ps was happy to do it as soon as possible which I was pleased about. I don't think my implants were much more noticeable with unders no. I don't have any visible rippling. The main difference I found was how they felt and moved. That said I didn't really have my unders long enough for them to have properly settled.

Re: Double bubble with overs?
i hope i dont have any probs if i need a re op. my nipples r higher thn th crease, but i still dont think they r high enough, n i do have slight db. i would love a placement change to sort it out.
and interestingly you should say sally, that you had strong chest muscles, cos i do too, so i wonder if that hasnt helped either? x

Re: Double bubble with overs?
Honestly Jen I don't know. My ps did say that the way the implant was distorting wasn't in line with the way the muscle moved so I don't think even he was 100% sure why it happened. I just know that I couldn't possibly have lived with my boobs the way they were and my ps agreed that they were unlikely to improve. x
