Bio oil and other stuff?
I had my BA yesterday and sort of worried i might get a few stretch marks over some time as i used to be a 32a and at the moment wearing a 32d sports bra.
Was just wondering if any of you started using products like boi oil and coco butter to stop this from happening or for any other reasons? And how long after your op can you start putting these on?

Re: Bio oil and other stuff?
Hi, congratulations on the new boobies :)
I personally wouldn't use anything as yet. You are so early days, and need to give yourself a little time to recover, and settle down first. Then Yes defiantly, both of those products are good, I think u do have to wait a certain amount of time before you start using the bio oil on your scars though ? I'm sure someone on here could clear that one up
Anyways, happy healing and rest up

Hey susielou!!
Im gonna buy some tomorrow and start using it, but not any where near the scar area. Just the tops of my boobs as thats the most stretched looking area.
Hope your healing well xx

Hi, it's fine to start using creams and stuff on your boobs as long as you keep it well away from your incisions! I had to use moisturiser on mine early on as I got really dry flaky skin on them and it was fine. Xx

SOrry this may sound crazy but I havent heard of anyone getting stretch marks from implants..Makes sense though with the stretching of the skin. Lucky Ive already got stretch marks that need to be filled out!

I ubfortunatley have 2 stretch marks :-( they appeared after 8 weeks but I hope they will fade. I've used cocoa butter on my boobs since day one but not on my insisions. And I've used vitamin E scar serum on my scars since 6 weeks...
If u are unsure though check with ur ps. Xxxx

I'm about 8wks pre-op and using bio oil now to hopefully help with not getting stretch marks. Although I've had 2 babies and not a stretch mark in site

I used baby oil just as I got out of the shower (on wet skin) to keep my skin soft for weeks before my BA and will continue as soon as my scars have healed but will prob rub a bit in carefully meanwhile xx

Ahhhh we had the same surg :-)
Yes the ba does make a difference on ya skin. As I tan so easily. Never burn. But. My boobs now often get a bit red and burnt. So I now have to put a higher factor on them compared to every where else xxxxx
