Mystery 'stuff'
Hey guys I over heard two lady's talking in a cafe! One was getting a boob job this week and was talking about how her surgeon told her to shower with this 'stuff' including her hair every day, one week prior to surgery to help minimise infection! To all most ''bleach' the skin clean! Has anyone heard of this?! Or have any good BA tips!? I've got my arnica tablets and bio oil at the ready! Only one month to go! Woohoo

Re: Mystery 'stuff'
That ones new to me! I was thinking aqueous cream maybe? Who knows. I was just told nothing perfumed, and no make up. Just showered that morning. They checked when I was getting changed that I had, or there was an en suite to do so there. But no Haz-Mat wash!

Re: Mystery 'stuff'
I was given hibi scrub to shower with for 5 days prior and also wash hair with it on the morning of my ba. Please do not think I'm dirty!! Apparently it's my surgeons normal practice as he believes it lessens the infection and cc risk. He didn't tell me to use it after but I did anyway until about 2 weeks post op.

Re: Mystery 'stuff'
Hibiscrub is anti bacterial body wash. It helps prepare your body for surgery to lessen the risk of infection.
I've used it prior to having all of my surgeries. You simply shower/bathe washing yourself top to bottom with hibiscrub the night before surgery and on the morning of. Xx

Re: Mystery 'stuff'
It's just the odd surgeon that like you to use it. Surgeons vary so much. I never had to use it but some do xxx

It defo is hibi scrub, I got given it and was told to use it the night before and the morning of my op in the shower. Its surgical scrub to limit infection. I used it the first couple of times I washed after too, just to be extra safe....even tho my wounds had dressings x
