Numbness !
Hi ladies with uplift / BA's, I'm delighted that I am feeling good at Day 5 and can see a difference already to the swelling and shape which is exciting.
I was given fresh dressings yesterday and the nurse checked the blood flow to nipples which are ok although one was much paler than the other and both are still quite numb. Curious as to when you all started to get the sensation back ?
Also the nurse said I have a lot of old blood - does this mean it will disappear over time or come out through the stitches ?
Loved the feeling of getting fresh air on my boobies as they have been strapped up to date !!
xx

Re: Numbness !
Mine took a few months for one nip and a year for the other. It can be a long journey, but it's all worth it.
Re: Numbness !
I'm almost at 8 weeks post-op and I still have no feeling in mine. They seem to "pop out" when ever they please though!
What type of lift did you have?I had an anchor lift and they whole areola/nipple areas looked nearly white for a while. But it was normal from what my doctor told me.The color is coming back nicely now.

Re: Numbness !
I am 6 weeks post op today and i had the burning sensation after about a week or 2 except when i would touch them they were still numb and could only really feel pressure, it seems to be improving everything day now it just seems to be the bottom of them, so slowly but surely ... so worth it though ... and it should come back as i see mine is! I think its completly normal i was freaking out at the beginning though too!

Re: Numbness !
I am over 9 months post and I have a few little numb spots that I only notice when I am feeling my boobs but they have vastly improved over time and I have confidence all the feeling will be back in time.

Re: Numbness !
At least the numbness worked in my favour today as I was having my stitches out , a few little tugs and pulls but nothing unbearable. I'm starting to see how nice they will be once everything settles and my only small doubt is on where nipple line is - I think it should be slightly higher than where it is today but I will give it more time.
I'm not in a bra yet until the bruising on the left boob gets a little better so will be a little weird at work on Thursday with a support vest on. Better cover up !

Re: Numbness !
I had numbness underneath my nipples I still have now but my nipples just one day decided to go wild and are now hyper sensitive
I only had a straight forward ba. So I can't answer any other questions but I know most numbeness does return but it can take daysz, months, even years :-)

Glad to hear you are feeling good about things.
As for where your nipple line is... it may seem low if the implant is still sitting high... probably once the implant settles the nipple will seem higher.

Re: Numbness !
Hi, I'm almost 5 months post op from an uplift with implants...I got about 70% feeling back in my nipples within the first 6 weeks but both my boobs are still numb underneath...like the girls say it could take up to a year for all feeling to come back but i know girls who have never regained full feeling especially in the nipples...i guess we just have to wait and see xxx
