Question about bra band size
I hope you don't mind me asking this question!
So I purchased my first ever bikini online (yes stupid to buy online/at all as I'm too early post op to wear it this summer!)
I bought one of the Geri Halliwell bikini's from Next.
I purposefully went up a band size (to 38) cos i figured they looked a bit skimpy.
Bikini top has arrived and it's SO tight. I have just measured the band and it's 30 inches which means they expect it to stretch 8 inches when worn!??!
Is this normal? are bras usually cut to the length you order or like 8 inches below? I'm wondering whether to send it back.

Re: Question about bra band size
Never come across that before. Plus next are usually pretty generous with their sizes. Must be a manufacturer thing. Whoever made the geri bras cant count.
Re: Question about bra band size
Sounds odd to me too. I did try on a geri bikini in a 34f/g and it was to small in both the cup and band. Maybe they are just small fitting. x

Re: Question about bra band size
hey ya, just found this on a site, hope it helps. measure around your chest under your bust, at the level where the
lowest part of your bra should sit. Try not to let the tape slip down at
the back; it needs to be level all the way along. Take this measurement
(in inches): if it is even, add four, if it is odd, add five. The
resulting number is your band size.

Re: Question about bra band size
yeah i thought that but i checked the label and it definitely says 38c. It's like theyve used standard "side bits" sewn on to the cups, they look so short compared to what looks like to me to be large cups! Such a shame as the prettiest bikini top ever :((

Re: Question about bra band size
maybe you could get someone to sew something onto it to make the band longer, like pretty ribbon or something! that sounds really tacky and sh*t but ive seen it done and it looks lovely
