Aww, sorry I can't offer any advice but I hope the pain eases off soon. Can you ring your clinic to see if they can give you some stronger pain killers? Xx

Re: Can't sleep...pain and heaviness worse at night
My only guess is that you are suffering pain because by the look of your stats you have gone from a small size and not only had unders but had quite alot of cc put in (which isnt a bad thing btw i think its great) Im suffering some pain at night but not too bad but thats because my skin hasnt had to stretch much because my kids stretched them for me lol. All i would suggest is to sit up a much as poss and avoid lying down which i know you said you are doing and id go the docs or the clinic to ge some co-dydramol.... not sure if you was given these tablets but they seem to work for me. sorry it prob not the help you was after..... hope you feel better very soon babe xxxxxxxxxxx

Re: Can't sleep...pain and heaviness worse at night
Didnt sleep till three. Yeah the pain
Is coz I've been stretched from extra small boobs to huge boobies for moi!
Yeah I'm gonna have to get co dydmol but I still shouldn't be taking ut regular as I'm gonna get addicted and blocked up!! That's the strongest available I think as it's an opiate... Unless I get a bottle of morphine hehe!
Hey does anyone else get really really hard and stiff boobies in the morning....it's their morning glory I reckon...which is relieved by drugs lol!

Morning boob is really common.I used ice packs to relieve it.The swelling and redness was terrible! It helped me a lot.I sleep in a "Cacoon" of pillows surrounding me (Looks funny to my children,Haha!) and I learned to stay slightly elevated, not completely flat while sleeping. The good thing about morning boob is it usually only lasts a short time. There was a good thread on here about that.Try to look it up in search. There were some good tips in there!

Re: Can't sleep...pain and heaviness worse at night
heya SS. Sorry to hear about your pain. Did your surgeon specifically tell you you need to be upright? For me, mins just said I need to have extra pillows so I'm at 40 degrees or so, so that swelling drains down rather than up. Maybe you could try that for another night? Being bolt upright sounds horrible!
Don't hold back on the co-dydramol, take it as it says on your prescription. It's not that strong, mainly paracetamol to be fair, you won't get hooked. Yes you might get blocked up (I have!!) but that's a temporary problem, and Im gonna buy some laxatives as I was blocked up a week BEFORE the op as well due to taking an immodium before an exam! Jeez, I look 8 months pregnant.
Hope your pain goes down soon, sucks doesn't it?! xx

Re: Can't sleep...pain and heaviness worse at night
Hi Sequinsparkle. My doc gave me Diazepam which has been a blessing at night. Is there anyway your doc can give you something to help you relax a bit and get some rest in addition to some alternative pain meds? This was given to me to help the muscles relax apparently and I think this surgeon uses it with all his patients. He also gave me Digesic which was pretty good. That did block me up for the first few days as I needed it quite a lot but I've been able to pull back on that now during the day. I was also given Mobic to take for a month once a day which also helps with the pain, especially in the morning when they are definitely at their worst. I kind of expect that after a lying in bed all night your boobs might actually feel less painful!!
I am only raised up on three pillows and then encased with pillows down either side of my body to try to stop me rolling on to my side. I'm sleeping alone at the moment as hubby's away so I have no idea what's going to happen when he returns to the bed tomorrow night!
Oh, one other thing I did to help me relax was to get an electric blanket which I have on very low. It's winter down here and cold. But maybe it's a bit hot for that where you are?!!! Hubby is definitely going to kill me!
I hope you can get some relief soon. I had mine done a day after yours and can't wait for the pain to subside..........

I did exactly the same, the icepacks were after my V-Pillow, my very best friends! Laid just over the tops of my engorged breasts they gave such relief!
Maybe also try things like having some lavender in the bedroom - I knw some shops sell those lavender smelling wheat bags which you can pop in the microwave to warm up, the lavender is a great sleep aid and you could use the pillow in the small of your back too to help any aches you might suffer there, a pillow under your knees is good too and lower your pillows sweetness, theres no way you could sleep like that, just keep your head and shoulders elevated, that's all that's needed, the ice packs or a packet of frozen peas/rice will help ease the rest and also a pillow under each arm too, just helps to give that bit more support.
A chamomile tea, hot choccie or whatever soothes you to drink before bed, just to relax you will also help.
Hoping for a better nights sleep for you tonight babe xx
Re: Can't sleep...pain and heaviness worse at night
I suppose one comforting factor is you are not alone..... we have all gone through the pain or will be going through it at one point... granted some worse than others unfortunatley.... thank god for this forum where you can ask a question and get an answer from someone who knows exactly how u feel... not from a male doctor who can only guess haha xxx

It makes absolute sence babe Do try relaxing with the ice packs though babe if you can, they really do make all the difference lovely, so you can recline and get a little sleep taking the pressure off your bottom. xx

If the band on your bra is loose lovely then you'll need to get one that fits, the support from your bras comes from the band of your bra sweetness, this could be why you're suffering babe, 'cos you're not getting any support from your bra. The band should be snug under your breast enabling you to just slide 2 fingers underneath. xx
