Arnica for BA???
Hey :)
I know I don't need to start taking the arnica just yet...but was wondering what you ladies though of it?
Heard mixed reviews.
Also, what is the recommended dose? how many a day/how many days before/after?
Thanks
Amy

Yeah I was told 4 days pre and post op. I've never had a bruise in my life (not that I can remember) so I really dunno how to expect my chest after surgery!!

Re: Arnica for BA???
I took Arnica 30c 4 times a day (2 tiny tabs) 3 days prior and 3 days post surgery. It states on the directions not to exceed for 7 days so didn't continue. I have very minimal bruising, will be putting more pics up shortly so u can see.
I believe it can make some people really sick???? luckily it didn't with me.

I've bought some but haven't taken it yet! Is it worth taking after surgery or do you need to take it before as well for it to have an effect?

Re: Arnica for BA???
Its just suppose to assist healing, no harm in starting although if your PS hasn't suggested it then I wouldn't. Your body will heal itself.
I took it and had minimal bruising and swelling.
How u feeling hun??

Re: Arnica for BA???
Thanks Jen. My ps didn't mention taking it so maybe I'll just see how it goes without.
I'm feeling ok thanks hun. My muscles are quite sore (I had partial unders) so it's as expected but as long as I keep taking my pills it's not to bad. I am so in love with my v pillow though!! Slept like a baby on it last night - genius!!
How are you feeling now? Feels like ages since your op now!! X

Re: Arnica for BA???
Awwwww I love my V pillow, I thank it for my wonderful sleep and my slightly bigger bra for a comfortable sleep ha ha. Luckily I have had little in the way of pain and am back doing the school run, shopping and driving however I just take my time with it all. Seems like forever since my boobs, sort of what lipo so best start saying ha ha.
I hope you r resting and being looked after, I was worried when u didn't post yesterday and thought u must be spaced out with all the pain relief. So how r u finding the new additions?? is it love??

Re: Arnica for BA???
hey hun, when i had my final consultation i mentioned to my surgeon about taking arnica and he said that if your body is not used to taking something then he would advise against it as the last thing you would want is to get ill just before your BA. x

Re: Arnica for BA???
Thanks for your advice girls.
I've already bought some cos when I spoke to consultant she told me to get some but I wasn't sure on the dosage. I have got the 30. So will start taking a few days b4 - can't hurt. Suppose if it makes me feel ill - i will just stop taking it.
Still need to buy my v-pillow tho! :)

Re: Arnica for BA???
I had a pre-op today and the nurse advised me to get the strongest one and to take a week before and a week after and follow the instructions, but I'm sure everyone's advised different things? xx
