Post by Vics 15th May 2011, 9:16 pm

Hey girlies

So I had my op yesterday morning. He gave me 525cc overs, which they kept teling me were 'sizeable' implants. I took with me 34dd sports bras and after the op, they told me I needed to go and get a 34e (which my mum kindly got me today).

So, everything I read on here lead me to believe we fluff and grow slightly. The nurse told me I will lose around 20% of what I have now and only end up a D or full C. She said she has 360 implants herself and is a DD. Now I feel a bit confused how I can be smaller cup size than her but have larger implants. I am very high at the moment and my boobs are quite warm (hoping that this warmth thing is ok and nothing to worry about?) I am filling the 34e quite nicely.

Can anyone give me any advice on this, will I end up larger or smaller than I am? My tissue is quite soft so I don't think it is swelling. Feel free to PM me for my picture trail login.

COOKIE - would really appreciate your take on this wavey

I think most girls get a bit bigger over time, I was in a 34e bra straight after my op same as you, and then had to go up to a 34f after a week or 2, now wearing 32g.
I don't think I've heard of any getting smaller. xx

It's normal for your boobs to be sat high on your chest and that feeling of warmth lovely, don't worry about that, you may feel the swelling kick in around day 3/4 too so don't panic if you feel this, it's all normal.

You're wearing a 34E right now, there's no guarantees ever that you'll 'fluff' hun, but I've yet to see someone here who hasn't after having their first fitting at 6 weeks+ post-op. You may 'feel' like they've gone smaller as your breasts drop and you lose the upper pole fullness but what happens is they fill out the lower pole of the breast and this protrudes the breast fowards, you can see better what I mean from this diagram in this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], give the pics a moment to load lovely, the diagram shows in detail how the changes occur and your breast fills out.

I hope that's helped you understand a bit more now sweetness. xx

She might have a different back size to you, a DD in a 30 back would be the equivalent to a 34C. I never lost 20% of the size after the swelling went down and I had a load of swelling. I was also wearing a 36DD after my op and I assumed I'd be a 34E as I thought I was a 34 band (I was wearing the wrong bra size pre op) I ended up a 32FF

Hi, personally I would find it hard to believe that with what you had you could go down to just a full C. I would be pretty confident that you'll stay larger than that. I think in the worst case you will remain the same size as you are now!

Aw hun I have no idea what the nurse is going on about?! Screwy

You will not lose 20% of the size and if you do then ill eat my bras!!..........I have to say hun i also though I didnt have swelling as my boobs felt soft after my op but give it till week 6 and youll realise just how swollen you were.

I was in a 32FF bra after having 460cc but the band was so tight I had to change to a 34DD. I measured 34 inches around my rib cage which at the time I though was my normal measurment but at about 4-5 weeks my 34 band suddenly became huge so I measured again and all the swelling I didnt think I had, had dissapeared and I measured 27 inches around my rib cage!
That made a a 28-30 band, taking my cup size upto a 30 G or 30F depending on the style of the bra.

I started with boobs so small I didnt even come into a cup size and ended a 30G so I would say with 525 youll be WAY over a C or D cup....out of interest hun what was your inch measurment around your ribs ( where the band sits)before your op???

xx

I hope they don't go smaller than they look at the mo but am trying to remind myself they will still be 525 more than they were and I know how big the implants were before they were put in, so I can't get any smalle than that right?

Will you have a look at my pics pls if I pm you my details?

This probably sounds terrible but I didn't check pre-op using a tape measure. I went to m and s for a post bra and the woman confirmed my 34b fitted my perfectly and that I would be a 34 for after the op.
I have just measured now and over the bandages etc, I am 30.50 inches across my ribs. My boos area measuring 38 inches. Do you know what these mean size wise? xxx

Thanks Crystal, great post! That's what I was thinking. I didn't actually measure them as such beforehand but the lady in bra fitting at m and s said I was def a 34 band. Today I measure 30.50 around my ribs, over the bandages, and 38 across my boobs. I started off wearing b cups. Is it true that 150cc is equivalent to about one cup size?

That's about the same as what I measure :-)
You might find a 32 back better once you're in normal bras, I don't think m and s are very good at measuring to be honest.
I don't think it's normally 150cc per cupsize, well maybe in the US but not here, I got 100cc per cupsize but it varies alot.

About a 30ff or 32f but that's just an estimate and you would need to be fitted properly into a bra. And you probably wont stay that size.
