Help! Question about incisions
If you've seen my scar pics, you can see that I have healed absolutely fantastically. The scars are barely red and a lovely small neat line, like a scratch. The only thing was a stubborn scab on my left boob that wouldn't go.
Anyway, I changed my bra the other day and noticed that the scab (sorry, yuck) was stuck to the inside of my bra, along with a tiny bit of yellowy skank. I checked my incision and the scar on that bit is more like a hole... kinda like when you fall over and get a deeper cut, rather than been neatly cut by a scalpel! The other side looks similar but not as deep iyswim. It looks healed over and def not bleeding or anything but I found another tiny smear of yellow stuff in my bra again today.
It's very tender and sore too, sometimes I've been getting stabbing pains in it, not constantly or anything.
I'm going to Budapest tomorrow so I can't go to the clinic but I am slightly concerned... is it just normal healing? I'm guessing the scab wouldn't have come off if it wasn't ready? And do some people have deeper scars at the end of the incisions?
Thanks xx

Re: Help! Question about incisions
Aww honey I'm sorry you're having to deal with that worrisome issue. I am sure you're just fine, but I think it would be a good idea to call your clinic. Even though you can't get in there tomorrow, you can describe what's going on. I agree that it's a good thing it wasn't a scab you just pulled off (they usually do come off when they're ready), but the fluid sounds to me like drainage of some sort. Could be perfectly normal, but since you're having tenderness and also it doesn't look totally sealed on that one end, do put in a call. In the meantime, I am sure you'll be okay, just follow those old standard rules about keeping it dry, not soaking it or putting anything on it.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, Doll. Just wanted to share a thought or two and let you know I was listening.
Xxxxx Kisses! Don't worry.

Hey Pumpkin ~
Cookie may have some light to shed on this! I just read her amazing diary... Might want to have a peek at it yourself. :)

Re: Help! Question about incisions
Awww thank you Java
I'm sure it's fine hun, I oozed some yellow liquid and was told it was liquid fat (ew!) nothing to be worried about though. The small holes will close sweetness and very quickly you'll find, after showering, try using cool air from your hairdryer to gently blow the scars dry and try to expose the scar to a little air to encourage healing.
If you have any further problems and you can't get back to your surgeon then you should be able to see a GP hunni. xxx
