Arnica
I have been advised by transform to take Arnica 5 days before my op. Well I started taking it on Wednesday which was a week and 1 day. I'm so glad I did because I had my tattoo sleeve finished(finally) and I had no bleeding, very little bruising and virtually no swelling! Must have been the Arnica, previously with my tattoos etc I've had big big bruising. So what I'm getting at is, if anyone had any doubt about taking it , don't! It's like a miracle drug. Take it and see xx mucho love everyone you're all boobilicious! X

Re: Arnica
Hi Sam,
I was completely surprised at how well it worked and I created a sort of poll about the benefits of taking it [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Perhaps you would like to add your observations. The vast majority of people responding thought it definitely helped to reduce or eliminate bruising.

Re: Arnica
Hi I will def do the poll ater my surgery on Thursday as I don't know the results of taking it when you hhave had surgery. I've only experienced the results of taking it when I had my tattoo and I have to say its quite incredible! Good stuff x

Re: Arnica
I didn't bother taking the arnica and I didn't have a single bruise, and I am a person who bruises very easily. x

Re: Arnica
I took arnica for my fist BA. Although I didnt have a lot of bruising I did still have some around the top of my new boobs, presumably where my surgeon created the new pockets for the implants.
I didnt use arnica for my 2nd BA (different surgeon) and didnt have any bruising at all. Mind you, the pocket was already there so I suppose 2nd time round is less invasive\aggressive if that makes sense...x

Re: Arnica
Arnica is a natural homoeopathic medicine which is said to greatly reduce any swelling and bruising after trauma to the body (which would include surgery - or even just banging into an object).
I must admit that I was a little sceptical, but as THG recommended it, I duly bought some (from Boots) and took it. I was greatly surprised that I had very, very little bruising and I normally bruise very easily.
Before taking it, please make sure you ask your surgeon if it is OK to do so.

Re: Arnica
Thank you Carol. It sounds like it's really good, my mum will be getting some. Maybe I'll get some if my surgeon says I should we shall see. I'm still deciding.

Re: Arnica
Hey,
I asked about it it seems some recommend it and others don't, my surgeon said that it may help if i just take one the day before but it could actually make me bleed more if i took it for a week!
I don't think I will bother with it, it costs quite a lot to take it for just one day!
but good if it works for others! When I went to see THG they recommended I take it - no wonder us girls get so confused with all the contradicting advice!
