Yes Kaboobie. How are youfeeling right now? What time are you going to be going in? I am to be there by 7.40am. The hospital is only 10 mins from where I live which is handy. My BF is coming with me Thank God. I've nervous now and excited and so very scared! I'm not looking forward to the weeks following, not sleeping, not showering etc. Saying that I'll be so glad when it's all over.
I'll be thinking of you hun x

Re: Re-Op Buddies
Well I had to be there for 715am this morning, and was in surgery around 830ish... done at 1030 and in recovery, had toast and tea, and they let me out at 1pm. Went to the hotel to check in, had a bite to eat, went to the mall (in a city i dont live in hehe), and now back at the room resting bc my pain meds are kicking in on the sleepy part. Uplift itself it WAY less painful than actual breast aug, however my right side is very very sore and tender bc he made the pocket to big the first time and had to go in and sew the muscle nd pocket from first op shut a bit (thank fully) , so im crossing my fingers he took his time and did a better job this time and that my results will be amazing, crossing toes too.... hope you are well yettiricey, let us know how you are when your up to it !!!!

Re: Re-Op Buddies
How are you feeling yettiricey? I am feeling ok. One side is painful bc he needed to sew the pocket shut a bit and muscle from the first op, I think he made it too big, but the side where i just had the lift im not sore at all (although im sure the good pain meds are to thank for that). Tomorrow I take the dressings off, so im very nervous about it. Anxiously hoping they turn out right this time. Wish me luck girls, either way I will be taking pics to share, regardless of outcome, but of course hoping for a happy ending !!!!

Re: Re-Op Buddies
HI Kaboobie
I was just lying in bed wondering how you are. xxx
I too am surprisingly well. Apart from the awful dressing / wadding they have wrapped around me to support the implants whilst they take, I'm good. Not much pain, I'm not even really taking any pain relief now and just slight discomfort. Amazing!
The worst part is my constipation from the meds whilst I was in hospital. It's early Sunday morning and my back and tummy are killing me as I really need to go but can't :-(
I can't wait to see my new boobs, I just hope I like them :-)
Did you see my pics so far Kaboobie? I am so glad I had the reop now, CC is a horrible thing! :-(

Re: Re-Op Buddies
Hi there fellow re-ops :)
I just had mine redone two days ago now and I'm so happy I did. I amazed how little they hurt now. I mean, at first I thought I had an elephant on my chest bone, but all is good now. I had a not so good experience with my first BA. I wanted an under BA but was given an over with 440 cohesive anatomicals. I'm pretty short and have a really small frame so they looked very out of place on me. The bottom of the implant was so big! So... years later now and I've gone back under the knife and hopefully (fingers crossed) all turns out good. So far so good though. I had a post op yesterday and she took the bandages off, but left the tape on. Man, the shape of them right now is a bit on the cone-looking style, but I'm trying to not freak out. Easier said then done . The funny thing is that my and my PS decided on 265 cc's, but I woke up to having 240's filled to 250 cc's . Has this happened to anyone else? I'm a bit worried that I went from something too big for my body to something that may be too small for me. I was already concerned that 265 would have been on the small side. Any thoughts or words of advice?
Thank you ladies!

Hi Emme-Kate,
Thank you so much for the speedy recovery wishes and you're so right.... waiting to see the end result is the hardest thing ever! How are yours after 2 months? Are they all healed? Is that about the amount of time it will take?
Thanks!

Re: Re-Op Buddies
Hi sweetpea, Congrats on havng your re-op its a tricky thing geting the size right and hopefully your ps changed their mind and put in the 250's because they were a better look for you. I was told when I had my 1st op that the surgeon would decide on the day but that I would be getting either 310 or 340. I had the 310 but they weren't wide enough for my frame so I had a re-op and went up to 445 and the difference was very dramatic. I'm the opposite and worry they are too big now but they look great so I try not to think too much about it.
I'm sure yours will look great when they settle. I healed alot quicker second time : )

Re: Re-Op Buddies
im doing ok chick thanks, think its made it easier going "over" again, got a stupid compression garment on that keeps riding up its doing my head in but apart from that fine, doesnt seem to be much swelling and no bruising so im pleased. go for dressings off on 10th then i can wear sports bra so that will be better, trying to fing clothes in warm weather that cover a large thick white compresion band from my armpits to bellybutton is not an easy task i tell you...lol.

Re: Re-Op Buddies
Aw hun I didn't have to suffer the compression band, it was bad enough after my 1st op in August last year trying to get anything to cover the sports bra straps I gave up in the end and lived in tight tshirts. The vest tops wide enought to cover the sports bra straps looked like the ones my Nan wears lol. Glad to hear you are happy and hope all goes well on the 10th xx

Re: Re-Op Buddies
Hi All
I'm due to go back in for a re-op on 8 October which will be a year since my original BA. I've not been happy with my implants since about a month postop. They never dropped and the tops of my boobs look like I'm wearing a pushup bra all the time, but there is nothing at the bottom! As long as I'm wearing a padded bra - with extra padding at the bottom - they look ok, but who goes around wearing one of those 24/7!
Mr Fallahdar has said that he sees someone like me once every 2-3 years. How flaming typical that *I* had to be the one with problems!
Anyway, his recommendation is to replace the current implants with anatomical. I was slightly worried about this - just due to the possibility of them turning in their pockets - but I've come to the conclusion it's probably best as there's less chance of the same thing happening again. Still a bit scared that I'm going to have to sleep on my back forever more though!
They don't make the same cc as the TSF, so I'm going to go slightly larger, only because he said that my having more "filling" at the bottom will help my nipples point upwards, whereas at the moment they almost point towards the floor. Not a good look I can assure you.
MYA are covering the costs of surgery, but I've got to pay for the new implants which are NOT cheap :-(
I just hope to goodness that this will be the end of my problems and that nothing worse happens!

This makes me so flaming mad! I too have a been a victim of 'extra charges' when having a re-op to cost of £3500!
It's disgusting that those of us needing re-ops to repair the damage done that was of no fault of our own are penalised for it made to pay these extra costs! I'm with Transform who seem to do this quite a lot, this is the first time I've heard this of MYA though. Shame on them both!
Re: Re-Op Buddies
Oh wow, I'm clearly a bit naive when it comes to all this as I assumed it was normal. Perhaps I should have made more of a fuss about the charges! That'll teach me for not coming on here first to speak to you lovely girls!

Re: Re-Op Buddies
Yeah, going down the complaints procedure could have reduced the price or you may have been lucky and got them free. My price started at £6000 and I got it down to £3500 XX
Re: Re-Op Buddies
I see the last post on here was August...does anyone mind me adding on?
Im due to have second ba on Dec 18th. I currently have 245cc and they are being replaced with 405 or 365 depending on best fit. My current boobs are well too small, I don't want huge at all but would like to look a full c or small d.
It's all very scary and I'm really glad I have support on here. With a second op do you have two sets of scars?
xx
