Sudden severe bruising
Hi ladies,
I hope someone can set my mind at rest. Had my BA 10 days ago and all was looking and feeling fine, my right breast was a little more tender than the left but didn't really hurt. Then on Monday the incision of the right boob begun to sting and become a bit painful, this lasted a few hours. Has been generally ok since but Suddenly today I've found a large black and purple bruise running from the incision right to under my armpit, it's so dark that for a monent I thought it was an extension of the purpley incision mark. Is it normal to suddenly develop a bruise this long after the op? I had no bruising at all last week so thought I was home and dry..also does this mean that Ive been moving my right arm too much? Should I call my surgeon? Not sure if Im just panicking, just never seen a bruise so dark.....!

Re: Sudden severe bruising
Did you have drains in sweetheart after your op?? If you didn't it could be some of the fluid making it's way to the surface. However, I would phone your clinic tomorrow to discuss it although I'm sure it's nothing you need to worry about

Re: Sudden severe bruising
Hi carol - thanks for the quick advice honey. No I didn't have any drains, so perhaps it's taken a while to get to the surface as you said. Will call Mr R tomorrow just to check
