Re: May girls!
Just worked out we will all be out of our sports bras by mid July so if there's a heatwave in August we'll be ok (but June wd not be good...) Planning on wearing some nice strapless summer dresses / tops at some point this summer! Tho thinking topless sunbathing might have to wait till next yr... Feeling really excited today, think it's cos the sun was out! :) How's everyone else doing?

Re: May girls!
Getting really nervous/excited now LMT! how about you?
I can't WAIT to be able to wear nice tops and dresses, but yes maybe topless sunbathing will have to wait a little longer... but whats another year when you've waited for so long anyway :)

Re: May girls!
I'm the same LMT, excited but so nervous, have to say today the nervousness seems to be overtaking the excitement! I wish I could just fast forward too till it was all over and no more sports bras :)
I think I'm having 380 overs now, but found out a few days ago I'm having the uplift too :(
I'm also having my upper eye lids doing at the same time, its a hereditary problem that no one really notices but cos my eye lashes curl the end of them hits my upper lid and constantly feels it's pushing down on it so I feel tired all of the time. I was going to have it done anyway and had looked into it all, although it was a last minute decision to have it done at the same time, can't say I'm looking forward to it though, none of it really!
Oh well, only one lot of recovery time and at least I can have a break from complaining how sore my boobs are and complain about my eyes too
I've heard great things about Simon Withey, you're in very good hands there! I think I've seen him mentioned on tv too before?
It's not that your disorganised, its just Annie thats superhuman and extremely organised! She's a star!

Hee hee, happy to help ladies ... Well I'm not packing much for the hospital, I'll be checking in and out in my black tracksuit and loose ankle ugg boots (nice ....). As a treat to myself I've bought new pyjamas, slouchy socks (because I've heard you can have chilly feet in the night!), slippers, cotton knickers (because then you may not have to wear the paper pants). And I'm also taking a small pillow to protect the new assets from the seatbelt on the journey home ... In my wash bag all I've got is: wipes, toothbrush/paste, handcream, some slap (in case I feel up to putting it on), spare contact lenses and my glasses. Also taking IPod and mags.
BUT in preparation for the immediate aftermath I've bought:
Argos
V-pillow for bed £7.79
Boots
Travel pillow (for napping in the recliner) £4.88
Cuticura anti-bacterial soap (to wash myself the night before as instructed) £1.59
Panadol extra (32) (no codiene easy on the stomach), £2.44
Senokot (20) (to get the bowels moving after the GA - sorry!) £2.06
Dry shampoo (cause moving arms will be tough) £1.95
Breast pads (for bullet nips) £4.65
Asda
Two sports bras: 36 c/d £12
I've also moved my teabags, coffee, mugs etc down from the shelf so I don't have to reach up and can make a hot drink easily (using my travel kettle - keep everything light!). Stocked up on loads of small bottles of water ...
Task for tomorrow: full leg wax and tidy up the lady garden so I don't scare any of the surgical team
A xx

Re: May girls!
Thanks for that Annie, such a help, have noted down all the items on your list. Blimey this is all such a mission! And some pruning too, I don't want to give the surgical team a fright either (reminds me of last week when a gardening friend of mine showed me her new business cards, at the top it said: "2 Lady Gardeners". didn't have the heart to say anything...)

I'm really looking forward to it Rachel - I haven't been on a 'beach' holiday in years mainly because I've been so  about my boobs - I've always gone for 'city' breaks instead, so this holiday will be a proper treat for me!

Yep, no topless this year - need to keep the scars out of the sun. But at least it means no more ridiculous padded bikinis which drip like crazy when you come out of the water (looking odd and totally giving the game away!)

Now with my Xmas shopping, I am decidedly more 'bloke-like' in my habits!

After getting out of the water, the next worse thing was laying on the sun loungers and looking down and wondering where they'd gone!

Re: May girls!
Hi all,
Well tomorrow's the day I will meet the surgeon who isn't going to do the op.........will have to decide there and then whether to go for the planned date 24th....without actually meeting Mr Meleagros....OH is so relaxed about it and says we will know either way tomorrow..wasn't going to drink but the bottle of wine in the kitchen is to looking at me.....shouting 'open me' 'open me'
will confirm whether I'm still a may girl when I get back....
