Great that it went really well for you Annie x
Read your story Rach - I think we both did really well didn't we!! God, I can't believe it's all over! . How are you feeling today? I've been taking the co-codamol and haven't had any pain, but it does make you a bit drowsy!

Hi LMT,
Hope my 'battery chicken' analogy didn't put you off too much! It really isn't a big deal at all - and having not tea-bags makes it all worthwhile!!

Annie and Mia are right! its sooo much easier than you imagine it to be, its the not knowing thats the hardest part honestly :)
I love this too "great sleep and wake up with !"
Thats exactly how it was!
I've got very little pain either Annie, but I'm doing the same as you and taking the coedine phosphate that they gave me, as well as the paracetamol, not taking any chances

Re: May girls!
just read your story annie and glad it all went well! i most worried about the needle too coz i hate them!!
Spoke to the nurse at mya today and she told me to get to the hospital next weds at 12 so i no im gonna have a long day!
Also just a quick question for you girls.. when i had my consultation with the surgeon we decided on 260 moderate profile implants but when i spoke to the nurse today she said your 260 implants have been ordered so i said could you tell me what profile they are and she said high and i was like ohh.. she said all 260 allergan implants are either low or high profile.
So is there much difference between moderate and high?? xxx

Re: May girls!
Hi,
Allergan implants come in 3 profiles called Moderate, Full and Extra-Full which is slightly confusing as the moderates are obviously the lowest profile they do.
So it sounds like you might be having their "Full" projection which is the medium one. Only thing is I've just looked at the catalogue and can't find the 260 listed. R u having Inspira Soft touch rounds?
Sorry if all that doesn't make sense, it's been a long day!

Ive just been at this website and it says this:
Round CUI implants (the non-FDA approved brand from Allergan)
So does that mean the cui implants mya use are not fda approved?? i thought they were

Re: May girls!
It's a bit of a confusing issue, there's a thread from a few days back about this. Think there are various reasons why some Allergan implants don't have FDA approval, and not any of them are because of concerns with the quality. Correct me if i'm wrong nads!
I personally trust this brand, (my surgeon told me this generation of implants are likely to last 20+ yrs and will not leak as they are cohesive gel etc) but have a chat with your surgeon if u have any concerns, I'm sure he'll put your mind at rest.

It's easy to let your worries take over and drive you a bit mad. But everyone on here puts you so much at ease, their advice is brilliant. I know i worried about everything and it has been so so soooooooo much easier than I ever thought it would be to do. You will be fine hun. And you will be posting your story soon enough.
Re: May girls!
So how are all my May buddies getting on?? I'm really enjoying my new boobs - I know I mentioned this to Misf1, but did I tell you all that now and again they squeak like little mice - so cute! :)
I've also noticed that I have a bruise on my neck under my ear and a rather large pin prick right between my collar bones and another one under my left arm mmm. Does make you wonder quite what goes on !
Anyway, hope you are all doing well!

Re: May girls!
Hi all,
Well I'm on count down and terrified really...not only because I have yet to met the man who will perform the ba and lipo on me. I wasn't going to drink this weekend ..you know to get my blood clean but alas on my 2nd glass of red. I more worried about the sizing of the implants now and wondering if they will be too big....I'm only 5ft...about a 34 b/c cup and a little over weight at 10 st...( reason for the lipo as well) the surgeon I did see told me 435cc.....and having put in the rice test a little uneasy about them..would a dd look massive on me? Do I tell people I work with that I'm going to have a boob job? ???? all the time..by the way really excited as well....on the arnica piilars had mouth ulcers yesterday and today they have gone.....wow.....I think these may work...good luck to all who are having there's this week.. from the freaking out person......who has a week to go...

Re: May girls!
Dont worry shandy 58 it is really easy. As for sizes, I'm 5'3 and 11st and had 410's. I have swollen up a bit so am 2 band sizes bigger and am wearing a 38D at the moment, I might have to go down to a C cup as I feel the D looks a little baggy at the top of the sports bra. I was wearing a 34DD after the op but it got a little tight. When all the swelling has gone, I should be down to a 34D/DD. I don't think they would be too big and I probably could have gone a bit bigger. I think you should be fine. It's just last min nerves. I was going to ask my surgeon to put bigger implants in right up until the day of the op as I thought I'd be too small. I did tell everyone at work as I did go from an a/b cup to a d/dd cup and they will so notice it. The arnica works brilliantly. I have really thick skin but bruise very easy from having injections because they really have to force the needle through my skin. I have a tiny bruise (Hardly noticeable) from the anaesthetic and normaly my hand would have been covered black & blue.
Re: May girls!
Hi annie66 that's weird having extra pin prick marks on you, I wonder what it was, maybe an antibiotic or pain killer jab or something. It is strange though. I read that and checked myself over, no other marks on me though and they told me they gave me a jab for pain relief before they brought me round. Maybe they put it near the scars? I haven't had any squeaks from my boobs like you, I'm jealous I want my new boobs to talk to me too
Have been having the post op blues though, but only in that I can't do as much for myself, I'm pretty mobile, but tried to move my car yesterday, it was really difficult. I can't walk about properly as boobs feel so so heavy and cause they're numb they're so hard to get used to. But the worst bit, itchy scars. it does my head in, I keep gently brushing my finger over them and that helps. Just generally a bit uncomfortable, no pain though, haven't taken a pain killer in days which is great. Finished my antibiotics yesterday. So all in all healing well. eating well (a balanced diet as instructed) and all the little annoying bits are far out weighed by the fact that I have exactly what I've wanted for years.
Now I've gone on far too much, sorry.
Good luck to everyone who's having their ops soon and hope everyone who's had their op is healing nicely :)

Hi Shandy58,
Well often the rice test tends to look bigger than the actual result, so I wouldn't rely too much on that. 435 is quite a big implant but as you're already a b/c then you're probably not going to look ridiculously huge afterwards. You can probably dress them down in loose clothing if you don't want them to be too noticeable in work

Try not to freak out too much (easier said than done I know! :) ) - a few weeks from now and you'll be wondering what all the fuss was about!

Hi Misf1,
Yes, you're right the pin pricks are probalby just for local anaesthetic or something. Or maybe they were there before the op and I didn't notice them! :suspect:

Yes, it's a lot for your body to get used to isn't it!! The worst bit for me was bloating and constipation - I put on 9lbs between Monday and Friday . Anyway, I've stopped taking the painkillers and have had some syrup of figs and senokot and things are pretty much back to normal now

Couldn't agree more! :)

Re: May girls!
Hope you're all doing well on here and that nerves aren't getting too bad for those of you that are getting closer to your day! It's MORE than worth it honest!
Had a pretty bad week, but that's down to stitches in my eyes that have made it very difficult to read/use the pc/watch tv etc. Today they have loosened up, typical as I'm having them taken out today!
As for my well they are doing great! Very little discomfort or pain so hopefully that will stay that way! Annie its funny you mention yours squeaking, if I raise my arms at the side a little mine make very strange noises!!
I've got my 7 day check up today so will get to see the dreaded scars, hope they're not too bad!
Annie and misf1 so pleased you are both happy too!
