Re: March Buddies!
Congrats lisalisa!
I'm day 6 and still haven't seen mine! There's just so much bloody bandaging around them I can only see about 3 square cms of each boob! I can kind of get a gist of the size and shape though and I'm happy in that respect. I had an uplift on the right - so that side has the most bandages. I can't bring myself to take a proper peak yet as the thought of the incisions and stitches and a healing wound makes me a bit queasy and the fact that there is the tiniest spec of dried blood freaks me out. I'm happy to wait until my check up when the bandages come off to get a proper look.
I haven't had any pain whatsoever, just a bit uncomfortable and adjusting to the weight on my chest. They're starting to get quite soft at the sides now, just seem to be a bit firm at the top and bottom of each boob. Left is completely numb and right always had feeling in from the start - very strange.
The incisions (or what I think are the incisions seeing as I can't see anything) are getting a bit itchy now. Perhaps a sign of healing?
I can't wait to get all this bandaging off on Monday!
I invited my boyfriend to have a little prod of them yesterday to which he replied 'no I'm not touching your operation! You've just had it done!' haha, I was a bit offended at the time but it's quite funny now I think about it. He was also under the impression that I had a bra on - then a bandage on top and then another bra on top of that to hold it all in place. I don't know where he got that from!

Re: March Buddies!
Hello,
Candy - I'm sooo sorry to hear that you have a cold! :mornincoffee: One more thing to deal with! I also wanted to tell you my boobs were sooo numb which really upset me at first but I am almost having full feeling back in them. They get better and better each day. I am sleeping on my sides too which is supposed to help them soften.
Kirsty - My belated congrats on the new girls! I totally understand the frustration with sleeping. We have a really comfortable, oversized couch and my first 3 nights I proped myself in a really comfy, upright, corner postion which made a ll the difference in the world. I had to wear the strap too and sooooo hated trying to figure out the whole clothes situation but I ended up wearing a black tank top under my shirts which covered up to the strap. Then I could get away with wearing a lot over it. So you would just see the tank top instead of the sexy strap.
It must be so hard for you girls to wait to see your boobs! I can see mine and I have already ran out of patience waiting for them to take the final shape.
I'm so happy for everyone though going through this. We'll all have a new found confidence for summer 2011!

Re: March Buddies!
Hi girls!
Elleblondie- thanks for the info on the numbness. I can't wait to get the feeling back.
I have been having the feeling that my implant is moving in my right breast. So far it looks normal. It just scares me because I have anitomical overs and am scared of it rotating.
Also I had major morning boob again this morning. I thought I was pretty much over that. Has anyoneelse had it come back??

Ahhh! I can't believe that happened Alisha! It just isn't your time yet I guess. Things have a really funny way of working out and you will get your surgery when you're all healed girl. I'm soo sorry to hear about that.
Candy, I can't believe you are still having morning boob! That is sooo painful. I had mine very little maybe only 3 days in the morning and that was it.

Re: March Buddies!
Alishajay, so sorry to hear about what happened, but better to wait until you are definitely up for it, I guess we have all waited ages to get it done, so a little longer is not that great in the scheme of things...I had mine booked in for Jan, then my OH had his knee done in so can to postpone in to Feb, then found out 2 weeks before that my surgeon had to go overseas for an emergency, so I only got mine done 2 days ago!
I keep hearing about morning boobs girls, not sure I know what you mean, my boobs seem to be aching and tender all the time esp when I move

Re: March Buddies!
Bloody hell, Alisha! Good luck with it all and make sure you keep on top of the meds!
I went clothes shopping today cos I've put on half a stone and don't have the strength to wedge myself into my skinnies I also have NO TOPS to accomodate my stupid sports bra and strap combo. I spent 45 mins getting dressed this morning trying to find something to wear in this lovely weather!
So, I went shopping and tried on this lovely maxi dress - something I would never have done before as you can't wear a gel bra with a maxi dress. Well, the first one I couldn't do up cos of my boobs being too big (!!) and the second one made them look weird cos they are so far apart at the moment due to the swelling. So even though I came away empty handed, it made me excited to be looking at all the strappy tops and dresses I'll be able to wear in 2 months! YAY!

Re: March Buddies!
Hi girls
Something strange is going on with my boobs. I keep feeling the implants move around. Kinda a strange feeling. Anyway tonight I noticed they look different, seem lower and rounder. They are also bigger!!!
Is this fluffing??? Is it to early for that. I am just over the 2 week mark. Do you get strange feelings when your boobs fluff??

Ssjj- I had mr khan. I'm now 5days post op and very very very happy!!!
He is a man of little words! But his work is amazing! You'll be absolutley fine!
I haven't really suffered morning boob but I'm still very early on. The first few days its hard in the morning and I needed help getting out of bed! As was so sore and stiff from being still for a few hours. But I just made sure I got up once an hour for a little shuffle around during the day. xxx

Re: March Buddies!
Alisha. Honestly the pain is not bad.
I can honestly say I have been in pain (yet) its just a bit tight... I feel quite chlaustrophobic (spelling soz) I'm wrapped up quite tight and I've never been a bra wearer at night or unless I'm leaving the house!
The only 2 things bothering me is back sleeping and bra wearing! I have no pain to moan about! You'll be absolutley fine just make sure u keep on top of the pain killers coz of ur rib! I bet the rib gives u more 'pain' than the new boobies!xxxx

Are you taking any painkillers at all, or do you feel you don't need to? How long do you have to sleep propped up? I may need to take something to knock me out to sleep having to sleep sitting up....How is everything feeling? x

Re: March Buddies!
I've been told to stay sleeping up (head and shoulder raised) for 2 weeks after....
In all honesty its not that bad. I tend to fall asleep about 11pm and I wake up at 4am then dose on and off till about 8.
I'm just taking calpol in the morning now. As the painkillers they gave me made me feel really down and groggy. Especially when I came off them on thurs. This is when I'm guessing most peoples blues started when they stopped the strong painkillers.
Mr khan is great! Doesn't say a lot although I did make him giggle... SHOCKED is an understatement of how I felt haha!!!! Then as I walked to theatre I was thinking haha I made khan laugh!
I've done my diary girls so if u have a look it will give u an idea what to expect xxx
