Re: March Buddies!
Hi girls,
I haven't been on here for days!!! There's so much to catch up on and loads of you have had your ops and are about to have your ops and I haven't even had a chance to say good luck!!
CC, I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better about your boobies. I love that at first you thought they were ginormous and now you're hoping they don't shrink any more LOL!! And what about your OH!! Crazy man!!!
I've had completely different experience to you, despite my anatomicals I've not been wearing a bra or strap at all, I have nothing covering my stitches, and I've been driving and lifting as normal! I hope that my implants don't rotate as I'd be devastated! I saw my PS though and he's happy for me to carry on as I have been. I don't even have to see him for another 6 months!!
Flowergirl, sorry to hear you had a bit of a tough time in the middle there. I hope that you've been getting some good recovery in the last few days, and that your OH is being a bit more sympathetic. I must admit I've had a rough time with my OH since the op... maybe not directly because of it, but it must have something to do with it as he's been finding it really tough to cope.
Iampetite... I saw your question a few pages back about what to expect and stuff... I was back to uni 4 days after my op, and driving on day 6, so it is possible for you to go back a week after, but it also just depends on how you are feeling. It might take you longer to recover, or if your job is more strenuous you really might not feel up to it. I'd suggest getting as much rest in as you can over that week off, and easing yourself back into things gradually, so that when your week is up you're as rested as you can be! I hope your OH is being supportive now as well!!
I've probably missed loads but don't want to rabbit on for ages! Good luck to the girls who have their ops coming up very soon, and for the rest of you in recovery, I hope you're all good!!

Re: March Buddies!
Congrats girls, welcome to the other side : )
You'll be pleased to know my OH has been acting a bit more like himself towards me today. I think its because i am more mobile now and so more like my old self. He even braved a very gentle, very quick squeeze ... and it didn't come off in his hand. lol
Happy healing to you all, and good luck you'll be fine to last 2 weeks of the marchies!

Hi everyone.
Really annoyingly whenever I upload the site at the moment it does this weird thing and crashes my system and then after 5 mins its ok again. But it means I cant sit on here all day like a week ago and comment so please dont think I got my boobs and I am gone. Is anyone else having trouble with the site.
I had my BA three weeks ago tomorrow and I feel about 98% back to normal. Bruising is nearly gone. Just cant wait now to not be wearing a sports bra. I havent worn one for the last two nights to bed and it feels like heaven. They are making my skin and nipples really sore.
3 weeks and I can go bra shopping. Yah!!!!! Hope everyone is learning to love their new boobs. It is definitely a journey but on week 3 I am really pleased with mine.

Thanks lindalou for answering my questions. I'm currently all ready waiting in the waiting room. They said it'll be 30 mins before I get put to sleep. I'm so scared. My heart beating so fast and my stomach has a bunch of butterflies. I'm scared I migh regret this. I hope it comes out the way I want with no risks at all.
I'll keep you guys posted after I'm done. Thanks for all the support through out! Xoxo

Hey girls,
Sorry I haven't been about, a busy weekend plus the website still isn't properly updating me on this thread! Grr...
First day back to work today and... ow. Quite uncomfortable on the walk in, walking at lunch time, walk back.... as such I am bussing it this week I have decided until things calm down. I have taken my bra off and am keeping it off for this evening I think, it's so much relief for it to come off at the end of a long day!!
Otherwise doing quite well. It's pretty much all discomfort now, no pain, things just feel a little odd and tight but it's fine when I am resting and stuff.
Candy - like LL I also am very glad you and your hubby are feeling better about things!
iampetite - best of luck!
Hey to Shaydey, EJM, LL and the rest of the march girls xx

Hey Marchies!
I'm soooooooo missing everyone! One week off of work made my week back nuts! Which is what I like - chaos! Anyway, I'm feeling like myself (just over 2 weeks post op) & just find I'm a bit limited on some things but nothing too annoying.
I can't believe everyone who is going & has gone .... Time is flying!
Well, I plan on logging in tonight when I get in from work but I just keep thinking of everyone & wanted to jump on quickly. Make sure everyone is on the up 'n up.

Re: March Buddies!
Hey all,
I got back to work yesterday too, but took it pretty slow and had a half day, doing the same for the rest of the week then back properly on Monday after the 2 weeks is up. well done to all the girls who have gone back this week -serenade - good to hear form you again, Terena - ha ha, sneaky peek in deed. I was in a bra shop yesterday talking to the shop girl about finding a more comfortable support bra, when i turned round this guy who was waiting for his OH was just staring at them like 'woooow..space boobs....' Not because they are particularly big, but because he heard they were boob-job boobs
Have a quick question for you all. I have had pins and needles in my right hand for the last hour or so. Pins and needles is usually a sign of restricted blood flow I think, so I am now paranoid I have a blood clot. Did anyone else get this tingly, pins and needles feeling in their hands?
I am waving my arms about as much as poss to maintain movement but dunno if i should go see doc or wait a day or whether its just normal and goes.
thanks

Re: March Buddies!
Hi Everyone,
I've just been for my two week 'wound check'. What a relief to finally get all the tape off! The nurse was really impressed with the scars, said that there are no bumps at all which is great. I asked her whether I could start using my bio oil now and she said not to waste my money on it, E45 would do the same job. I used the bio oil after my c section and you can hardly even see the scar. She said though that it's the process of massaging the scar which stops the scar tissue underneath from going hard which is when it goes bumpy. So, basically, as long as I'm massaging them, it doesn't need to be bio oil. I've bought it now, but thought you might like to know.
I came straight home from my appointment and stood in the shower for ages! Who would have thought that such a simple thing could make me so absolutely delighted.
I'm two weeks post op today and feel great. Yes, I'm sore, but hey, I have boobies!!!! Like you Shaydey, can't wait to get the sports bras off. OH has been warned that my next underwear shop is going to be very expensive.
Anyway, warbled on a bit, but wanted to share my happy vibe. Also off to see the Script tonight so really looking forward to that. I'll be swaying rather than bouncing though!

Re: March Buddies!
Yay Lola! My nose was insanely itchy after the GA, so weird! I couldn't stop scratching it!
I was so looking forward to all the lovely food I chose at the hospital, but because of the GA I threw up everything I ate! Such a waste, especially the massive chocolate cake they brought me!
Also good luck to iampetite - though you are probably all done by now! so congrats!
I'm 4 days post Op now and still no pain whatsoever. I kind of want some pain so I know stuff is healing or something. This seems a bit too good to be true not to be in any pain yet. I'm already sick to death of sleeping propped up though. Any pain I do get is in my bloody back! Day time Tv also isn't what I thought it would be. It's so boring! If I could clean the house right now I'd do that over watching tv haha. Before my Op I was so looking forward to watching crap and laying about all day. The grass is not so green on this side!
Hope the pins and needles aren't serious EJM, do you get it on and off or is it all the time?

Re: March Buddies!
EJM, I got really bad pins and needles and still do now, but I was told by my GP that it's normal for up to 3 weeks as the nerves are regrowing. Everytime I press on one part of my (still numb) left boob, it tingles right down to my fingertips, but is no longer constantly painful. If you are worried ring up the clinic and see what the nurse says.
Congrats Lauren, iampetite, sharonk, malibu and all the other marchies who I might have left out (sorry if I have, it won't let me upload previous pages for some reason) on the new additions! happy healing!
Auriga, good to hear you are healing well and great tip about the E45. I have heaps of it here as my son has eczema.
I also had my dressings off today felt sooooo good! BUT, have a small patch where it's still spotting so can't shower til tomorrow , but OMG, I am so excited about it! I am really over the moon happy about my incisions, they are literally about 1mm above the crease, so once my boobies drop, you aren't going to see them. They are so neat and small and look like they are healing fantastically! Will post pics tomorrow when I can.
Well, my boobs are still shrinking, but the nurse said that the swelling will stop them dropping. She said you can't tell the size until at least 3 months post op. Hmph. She also said I might have to wait upto 12 weeks for the swelling inbetween my boobs to go. 12 WEEKS! the woman is insane. And then they will drop apparently. Urgh. And there's me thinking a boob job was a quick fix solution! And she said I'm not allowed to take my bra off in the evenings which sucks, cos I hate being trussed up like this, it's sooooo uncomfortable! I have to wear it for another 7 weeks!
Anyway, just keep thinking of the summer and hoping it doesn't get too hot for the next 2 months!

So strange how the doctors are so different. I have been able to shower since the second day. Infact, I was told to wash my incisions 4 times a day right from the start.

Hi everyone,
Iampetite, I hope you are doing well and feeling good hun!
Lola, same to you as well!! Hope I haven't missed any one out who's just had their ba! It's so hard to keep track as this month is so busy!
EJM, did you find out about the pins and needles? Has it gone now? I didn't have pins and needles but I had LOADS of pain in my wrists for a couple of days.
I'm nearly 3 weeks post op and I wear what I want... If I don't want to wear a sports bra I don't bother... is that ok?! I was also wondering about incision massage... mine still feel like they're a little scabby or something (ew), so am I allowed to start massaging them yet?
Flowergirl, glad to hear you're feeling so well, and congrats on that 30E sports bra!! WOW!
Malibu... it sounds like your recovery is a breeze! Some girls do seem to go through it without any pain or discomfort at all, you must be one of the lucky ones!! As for the back pain, after the first 4 nights I started sleeping flat on my back, with two pillows under my head. It really helped to relieve all of that pain. Got a tiny bit of morning boob but nothing unmanageable... maybe you can start sleeping less inclined now??

LL, it's a 30E but I don't think I really am a 30E, prob a 30C/D, just cos I'm wearing a strap still so it fills it out. They are shrinking and there's no way I'm an E cup, especially as I also wear a 34C to bed as it's comfier. But the E fits me and I have 3 of them which cost over £20 each so I'm not buying another one until it goes baggy, which it hasn't yet! I have major boob greed, as you know! lol!

Hehe, yeah mine fit nicely in a 34C, but I prefer to wear a 32D, just because I like to be able to say I'm a D!! How odd!!
Today I'm actually wearing a 36B bra that I bought when I was breastfeeding, and it fits beautifully. It also makes my boobs look really quite big for whatever reason, as well as being very comfy. I only wish I could remember where I bought it as I would get more!
Maybe in a week or so your boobs will double in size and you'll be going eeeek, minimizer bras people!? lol!

lol, how weird you say that, LL, cos the 34C I'm wearing is also a bra I bought when pregnant! It doesn't really fit me, to be honest it could be a B cup but the label is worn lol! It's just really soft and worn on the band so doesn't rub, so I like it! even though it obv doesn't fit, it's not rubbing like the 30E, so I don't care!

Had my 2 week checkup. I have one incision I have to watch as it is not healing as well. The nuse told me to move my surgical bra in a notch to make it tighter. She said that helps soften the boobs. Anyone else been told this?

Hi everyone, I'm so glad you have spoke about how you sleep at night. Its driving me mad! I have been sleeping upright on a mountain of pillows and waking up with back ache. Think I will try just a couple of pillows tonight.
I had a shallow bath today and painted my nails which was nice. Am hoping to wash my hair tomorrow and go out for a bit for the first time since. Am feeling like a hermit! Anyone have tips on washing hair? My OH will help me. Also how do you find clothes covering your chest straps? Is it really noticeable? I have to wear my strap for 6 weeks.
Congrats to everyone who have recently had their b/a's, and good luck to those of you still waiting.
Lots of love Kirsty. xx

Hi girlies, just want to say how much this forum has helped!
I just had my op yesterday and it seems everything went well, I got the implants that I we agreed upon and the doctor said the size would turn out as we discussed. So am happy! Not going through as much pain as I thought.
I was wondering about those girls who could check their boobies straight away when they ge home? I'm stuck in bandages and a surgical bra and too scared to have a peek! Can't wait to see what it really looks like and share with all my march buddies!
