symmastia update
hiya girls i went to see my ps today
he said i need another operation to correct it but only on one breast!
he went through what he was going to do and it seems ok, i will have to wear a thong bra and a very tight supportive bra for 6 weeks day and night, those thong bras are so uncomfortable,
i also asked about the cost and he said he will contact Mcindoe and see what they say it may be free or very little charge!!
he will contact me again soon and have to re-op in the new year sometime!
also i wont be able to wear certain bras after the 6wks like ones that give you high clevage and im not aloud to false them together, it doesnt matter to me as i would love to see them apart again after see them touching for the last 6 months!
he will only repair one breast as my right doesnt move at all and is very well in its pocket, but my lefty is very free and moving about, which is not good for anatomicals either,
the scar will be made wider so he can get to the middle for the repair, and will remove the implant repair the pocket and put it back in,
so im now waiting to get the boobies of my dreams, AGAIN!!

Re: symmastia update
that sounds really positive Bumblelady. Im glad its getting sorted out for you.
I guess the not being able to wear push up bras isnt too high a price to pay. Im not a fan of them anyway

Re: symmastia update
I'm so glad that they will be fixing the problem for you hun - hopefully for free.
......... and thank you for raising this topic in your original thread as I didn't know anything about it until then. So when I was pushing my PS for much closer boobies and he said he would bring them nearer together than they were, but not as near as I wanted because of my skeletal frame and muscles would increase the risk of symastia, I knew what he was going on about. In the end he did mine sub-muscular as apparently this helps too.
So thank you hunnie
xx

Hi hun, I am so pleased you are getting it sorted, and I hope it is free. If they are going to charge you I would have a thing or two to say about that!

i should be feeling so happy that im getting these sorted so why do i feel so sad!
i dont want to go through all this again,

Re: symmastia update
It's normal to feel like that sweetheart, I felt exactly the same... I almost felt I'd been robbed if that makes sense.
Needing a re-op when you expect to have surgery and enjoy your boobs for many many years and then have to do it all again so soon is devastating... but hunni, when you come through the other side and see the difference it makes to your boobs after they've been 'fixed' you'll see that this has all been so worthwhile
Good to read the re-op is free too hunni, that's how it should be

Re: symmastia update
i cant believe they are trying to make me pay for the implants again,
they sent out a letter asking for £700 to cover the cost of the implants, in case mine come out damaged they will put the news ones in! and i need to pay up first!
my surgon didint say nothing about this, and never thought there was anything wrong with them he was just going in to fix the problem and put them back in again,
and he is only going to do one breast,
they said if mine were damaged they would send them off to see if the implant is faulty or my body has damaged them,
if the implant is faulty they were re-imburse me, and if my body has damaged them its my fault,
i just keep thinking theres nothing wrong with them, its just symmastia,
what do you think!
