Hi hun, welcome to the forum. Please read out forum rules on requesting pictures [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
as for the unders or overs did they explain why they wanted to give you each placement?

Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
Well I noticed you asked james about overs and unders, so thought this link [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] might help. Do you have any preference on surgeon or placement? Maybe have another consultation with both of them just to be sure, Maybe take some pictures with you to show the surgeon the look you are after. Maybe even have another consultation with a different surgeon to see what they suggest.
If you can get away with either overs or unders, it's probably a good idea to really go through the pros and cons of the placements and see which one you feel happy with.

Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
hi hun, Im going in on Monday and am size 8-10 5ft 4 and a 32 a or maybe a 30b (but saggy lol). Im sure everyone has their own opinions hun on which is best. I tried to read loads on the internet and everything I read said it was unlikely I would be offered overs as I dont have that much breast tissue and If I was, it was more likely to get rippling of the skin and / or a ball round look. (although to be fair some people love this look) Sure enough the couple of surgeons I did visit afterwards both said similar to me when I saw them,,,, however you need to do your own research hun and decide from there. There could very well be people with overs who look great and will tell you that. Take photos so they know what you want.I am having partial unders and size wise I as told between 175 and 225 as I want it really and in proportion. She will try them on the day and see which looks best. I am so nervous but I trust my surgeon and thats what everyone says important.

Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
Thanks mis1 and dimpledee,
I thought I had it all sorted and I was determined that unders were the right choice but I actually really like the surgeon that suggested overs. I have provisionally booked a date for surgery in January as I have to be tight with dates due to my job.
I am going to see the surgeon with my other half in 2 weeks, so hopefully that may help.
:(
Mis1, how long did you leave it till you went back to work? i really dont want anyone i work to know, but i work for the NHS and my job is quite manual,
Thanks again,
Rach x

Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
Hey!!!
Have you thought about seeing a totally different surgeon to see what they think? You obviously don't have to go with that surgeon, just their opinion may help you.
I had to have 3 weeks off work in the end, originally was only 2 weeks, but my scars didn't heal good enough to go back to work due to its nature (heavy lifting)
Hope this helps x

Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
Thanks Jemmy :)
One clinic offered for me to see another surgeon in a couple o weeks, I'm really perplexed now :( n can't stop looking in the mirror to see if I have enough skin/tissue at the top of my chest for overs!! Madness.
The getting back to work is bothering me a bit, I read that having overs is less painful with less recovery time, my heads wrecked :( xx

Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
I took two weeks off work, but I have an office job so it was quite easy for me to get back into it. I would speak to the surgeon and see how long they feel it necessary before you go back to your usual lifting work. I know I was reccommended not to lift anything heavy for 6 weeks. But I remember reading a thread where people were allowed to after 3 weeks, but to stop if it hurt/ caused discomfort.
Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
Hi Rachel,
It sounds like we're about the same size. I was told I should have unders as a big thing for me was that I didn't want to look too 'fake'. I know thats definitely right for me cos I am slim up top and often I can see my rib bones. Can you see yours? If so its likely you might see the implant too..? But a 3rd opinion from a different PS sounds like a good option if you have the time.
Also with regard to lifting. I have 2 young children and the PS said that after 2 weeks he would expect me to be able to lift them again. Although depends on your job how often and how heavy...
I am booked in on tuesday, so I'll let you know how I get on, although everyone is different. Hope you find an option you're happy with xxx

Yes, overs do have a less recovery time and is not as painful as understand. But don't let that sway you. You need to have what is best for you and over time you will be able to see what that is for you x

Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
I was scared unders would be really painful but it was actually fine so dont worry about that :) I had 2 weeks off work.
I believe that they say if you can pinch more than 2cm of skin over your breastplate you can have overs i can just about pinch 5 MILLIMETRES ha ha ha so no choice for me :) x x

Re: 300 overs or 260 unders :(
Hi hun, just some advice re going back to work.
I also work for the NHS in quite a manual job and took 2 weeks off BUT I did feel I went back too soon to normal duties so changed to light duties for 2 more weeks and and now at 6 weeks I feel comfy doing everything I used to. I just told everyone i worked wth i'd had an op and couldn't do certain things. They were all ok about it and helped me loads. Are you able to go back to light duties or maybe even non-clinical?

I am a Registered Childminder and only having 2 weeks off (over Xmas) with unders, so pleased to see your PS said ok to lift children again after 2 weeks. x
