My boobs feel numb underneath Empty My boobs feel numb underneath

Post by twinpeaks 25th November 2010, 4:38 pm

Hi girls

Just wondering if anyone else has experience the same sensation or lack of sensation should I say.

Its been 7 weeks since I had my op and my boobs are beginning to settle down and soften etc. The only thing that concerns me is the lack of feeling on the underside of my boobs. They feel numb and if I touch them in that area I cant feel anything sad smile

I'm seeing my surgeon next week so I'm going to mention it to him but just wondered if anyone else had the same thing happen to them?

x

My boobs felt almost completely numb underneath for weeks and weeks after I had my BA, I have more sensation now but wouldn't say it was 100% yet.

I'm still numb above my scars underneath my nipples. Pretty sure it's normal tho.

Hi twinpeaks,

I had my ba 7 wks ago too and mine have numb patches as well, mainly underneath, and although I have total feeling in my right nipple I have some numbness still in my left.

My ps said it can take upto a year to completely return... and really 7 weeks is still early days, internally there is still healing going on... so not to worry its very normal. :flowers:

Hi hun, I had that for months, my boobs didn't regain their feeling in full until just over a year post op. Dont worry there is plenty of time yet.

I'm still numb too hun - I'm either slowly getting more feeling back, or I'm getting used to the numb patches! ha ha! I was told it can take up to a year to settle down.

This post made me think and on checking yesterday I still have some numbness underneath, more than I thought. I must be getting used to it as I don't really notice it anymore. Sort of feels like when the anaesthetic after a dentist trip is wearing off.
