Massaging
Hi ladies
Just wondering how many of you massage your new boobs and if so, how you do it and what you use?
I haven't done it so far but think I really should start as I'm past 6 weeks now.
Do you think it has helped you?
Thanks for any advice!

Re: Massaging
All surgeons give different advice about massaging, some say dont do it as textured implants dont need massaging so firstly i would ask your ps for the all clear to. Heres a good link:

I jusr rub lotion in my boobs at night and do circular movements while pushing them together and i do the squeezy move from the link above x

Re: Massaging
I was told to press my palm in the centre and do circular motions, so I've started to do that, aswell as what i've seen on the internet where you grab them on the sides and push the implant up out the pocket xx

Re: Massaging
I've never heard about pushing the implant up out of the pocket...now I'm panicking that I should have been doing this for ages! I'm sure my nurse didn't mention it...think I will give her a ring later
Thanks girls

Re: Massaging
Hiya hun. I was told to massage at 6 weeks by my surgeon as mine didnt drop properly. He told me to litterally squeeze, really hard :(, from he top.
This time, after my re-op my nurse told me to start massaging at 2 weeks post op by pushing downwards with the palm of my hand.
was under the impression that you dont ned to do it unless advised to but everyone seems to get diffferent advise so you are best to ask your nurse wether you should be doing it or not. If you havent been told to i wouldnt worry x

I wouldn't panic, I wasn't told to do this. Just go with what your surgeon/nurse recommends & you'll be fine. xx

Re: Massaging
I was told not to because I had anatomicals and so it can be a problem if they rotate, but they are still nice and squashy and settled now anyway :)

Re: Massaging
Oooh good point AFC...mine are anatomicals too and it makes sense not to fiddle with the position as we don't want any weird-shaped boobies!
Will let you all know what my nurse says...
