Hi AltBarbie
Just checked my favourite weather site "weather.co.uk" and it says you will have snow in southampton at weekend then wednesday snow/rain - but london will have heavy snow on Wednesday - are you driving up or going by train.
For me on Tuesday says Bristol snow/rain but heavy snow on Wednesday so my husband may not be able to collect me!
Are you able to travel up on the Tuesday and stay in travel lodge overnight? Bloody weather - typical we may get a white xmas the year we DON'T want one!!

Re: December Buddies!
That's a good idea Jellytot1 - at least ir would give her all the previous day to get there. Just in case this appeals to you Alt-barbie, here's a link to a few nice B&B's in ArchwayArchway - and you should be able to walk from any of those to Highgate Clinic.

Re: December Buddies!
I live 10 min drive from Highgate and have offered Laura to stay here though if the snow is really bad then it might be easier to stay a walk away from the hospital instead :(
I was so worried about the snow before my op, I was lucky to not have any. I don't get it because the Met office and BBC both say "light snow" for London Sat then nothing. Why is everyone freaking out?

Re: December Buddies!
Will see what it says closer to the time but I might have to go up the day before... Thanks Em I really appreciate it, we can be boob recovery buddies.. Depending on what time I get admitted I could stay overnight if it snows. Then if my parents still cant get to pick me up I could come to you.

Re: December Buddies!
Alt barbie - you need to change your date on the calendar - still says 29th Dec.
Also calendar says I am only one on the 21st Dec - but sure someone else on here is the same day as me. Any ideas?

Re: December Buddies!
Carol - didn't want to hi-jack Pebbles thread so thought I'd take it onto our December thread instead!
How are all the December girls who are post op feeling? I'm a bit low today - too much sitting around doing nothing & pain in my right boob!!!

Re: December Buddies!
Sorry, I replied in Pebbles' thread about it Em - I don't think she'll mind tooooooooo much as she will be going through it in a few days.
Basically what I said was:
The stinging is a good sign hunnie - it shows the nerves have started to regenerate and knit together again. My nips have been tingling all bl**dy day today (I've just included this in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ) LOL. It might also suggest that since it is happening so early on in the recovery process for you, that you are a good (and fast) healer - so look on it as a positive.
If they are hurting that much though, try some make up remover pads between your nipples and the bra, this should soften any rubbing and help reduce the sensation.
............ and yes, I'm very pleased in how my babies are progressing - get a bit giddy with delight every time I see them in the mirror YAY!!
