Re: December Buddies!
[quote="angelemma"]All week I have had clients coughing and spluttering all over me :( I have been downing echinaecia to hopefully keep myself healthy!!
I have had the same with all the kids I look after coughing and sneezing - been taking high dose Vit C and echinacia and using anti bac soap so much everytime I wipe noses that my hands are dry and itchy!
Had my preop phone call yesterday - glad I didn't go all the way to Bristol for it, was only on phone for total of 9 mins - just asked basic questions, I asked would I have to go in early on day of op for blood tests and she said not for this proceedure.
I asked about drinking alcohol in the week before op and she said it was fine in moderation as I have no other health problems, just make sure i am well hydrated and not to drink alcohol on day before op, which is good as have Scissor Sisters concert in Bournemouth on next Thursday, having drinks with girls Friday, have nephew's 18th party on the Saturday and been invited to neighbours for drinks on Sunday - thought I was going to have to invent kidney infection and take my own cranberry juice!!
Hope you feel better soon Laura (Alt Barbie) xx

Re: December Buddies!
Argh. 2 days to go and the nerves are *really* kicking in.
I swing between wanting to cancel and then telling myself not to be so stupid. After waiting over 20 years I just can't believe I'm finally going to do this! Just so so so so so so scared of going into hospital and having the GA. Then I'm scared of hating them when I wake up :(
I'm not alone am I?

Re: December Buddies!
Definitetly not alone. I am ok with the GA and op as i see it, I'll panic but but by the time I have chance to think about it, it'll be over and as per 'little britain' '3 2 1 your back in the room'!!!
My big worries are am I going to like them??? are they going to be the right size??? am I going to be able to go back to work after just 2 weeks???
The only reassuring thing is I know Im not on my own and can share the good and bad right here.

Ahhh Emma, you'll be fine hunnie. Just visualise your boobies now and how much you hate them - and then image them swelling to the perfect boobies you've always wanted. The nerves will settle and you'll get that buzz of excitement back and be eager to get there and have this magical transformation happen TO YOU!!
They won't be perfect the first time you see them after the op, but slowly over the forthcoming weeks they will change to what you so desperately wished them to be.
Good luck hunnie

Re: December Buddies!
I am now 4 days PO and feeling great. My only concern is my boobs are really funny looking now. It is maybe because they still need to settle in the next 6-8 weeks but I am still freaking out a bit. I started out a 32A and now I am measuring a 32D/DD.
thank you for everyones support!
Please give me some insight on pointy cone looking boobs, nipples pointing downwards and puffy???

Dont be silly Em.. Your going to have a great rack!
I was talking to my OH last night.. Hes like arnt you worried.. It made me realise that I haven't even thought about the GA & the op.. Im not really a great over thinker. Once I have my mind set on something I get tunnel vision & nothing else matters. Im just really excited..
Every thing just seems like it will be so much better when Iv got huge boobs LOL

my fears exactly - will i like the result, my husband has paid my hospital bill today (phoned from work) on his interest free credit card and before he went to work he double checked that I was going ahead - catch 22 now - if I don't I'll regret it for ever, if I go ahead and hate them I'm still going to regret it!
I know I felt the same about whether to have third child or not (she is 15 now) and I love her to bits (most of the time)!! I just keep thinking it will be fine - just like breast feeding boobs, they take a bit of getting used to but when they soften they are great.
Point of no return - paid out £4250 so I am having Xmas Boobies in 8 days time!!!

Re: December Buddies!
Girls wont say all your names individually but I got my 2 week post op appointment today and WOWWWWWWWWWW
My boobs were totally bandaged up (like a bra made of bandgages as I got my inverted nipples done and 250cc moderate plus profile mentor implants.)
OMG x 1 million. I am over the moon. Heres hows it went for me just for those who are going in tomorrow or soon (good luck angelemma and anyone ive forgot)
1 day pre-op- Omg am I really doing this, well my hubbys paid £4500 I need to now
Day of op - surreal feeling, have I got what i need, Will the ga be ok? Am i doing the right thing, wHat if i hate them and hate the shape.
The staff are so lovely and before you know it you are waking up. Yes I was sore but as soon as I woke up and said sore sore, they said Shes sore give her something and I got a jag, everyones different but slept till midnight cause of the ga (love my sleep lol) looked at my boobs and thought they were small
next day was sick but had the luxury of being kept in for a second night and looked after as the drains were still filling. I just kept taking the painkillers all day and my boobs looked kind of cone shaped under the bandages which worried me
Day 2 post op Got home and for the next few days went between oh no they are a funny shape and wide apart and too big!!! ...... to 'no it will be fine, the forums say this is normal lol
2 weeks on and I am over the moon and not in that much pain at all no where near as bad as I thought and had partial unders.
All the negative thoughts, fears and feelings are normal
Come and join me in the booby club wooooohoooooooo
(thankfully the size is perfect. If I was younger maybe slightly bigger might have suited me but I just love love love the size. I was a 32a (but wore a 34a) and am wearing a 32d sports bra. I wanted to be really in proportion and I am. Its true though, they do look smaller in clothes but not in tight clothes (like a tight tshirt) if that makes sense. Wonder if they will change in size :-)

Re: December Buddies!
Thank you for your reasuring post to try to steady out nerves, I don't know about the others but I don't think having it done so close to Xmas is helping with our alternating worries and then excitement, as there seems so much more organising to get done as after next Tuesday I won't be going shopping again before Xmas. So pleased that you love your new Boobies, hope we can all write such positive posts in a few weeks. xx

Re: December Buddies!
Good luck to all of you over the next few days. For me it was not as bad as I expected especially on the pain side of things. Had my first post op check yesterday and still have some healing to do but on the whole I am thrilled with the results and I am sure you all will be!
