thrush from double antibiotics?
Ive never had thrush in my llife until today and was just wondering if it could be from the antibiotics?
when i was discharged nurse gave me double antibiotics for a week .
on box said to take 1 x 4times daily but she had crossed it off and put 2x4 times daily, do u think i had high dose or is this normal?
also any hints or tip to ease would be great x

Re: thrush from double antibiotics?
yep u now have candida in your gut and u dont wont that because it grows and grows ask jessica she as well as myself has had it on here u need to go get yourself some natural yogurt live with no added sugar as this will feed it and get some probotics if u can just treating the thrush itself wont get rid of the bad bacteria u now have in your gut antibtitics destroy your immune system bcause they kill your good bacteria and cause all sorts including painful joints,me liver and kidney probs so go get yourself some live yogurt and probtotics and try stay off sugar till your thrush gets better xxxx

Re: thrush from double antibiotics?
i would just get a canesten pessary. Theyve always worked either overnight or within 48 hours for me.
I always get it if ive had antibiotics and its treated really easily, dont worry
Taking probiotics is good too

Re: thrush from double antibiotics?
I would definitely recommend eating lots of live bio-yoghurt and taking pro-biotics as well. You can get them from any helath food shop, and the yoghurt you can get from a normal supermarket.
I always do this every time I'm prescribed anti-biotics and it helps to keep the thrush at bay. The doctors don't tell you that anti-biotics are not selevtive and that they kill all your good bacteria as well as bad bacteria leaving your immune system defenseless against things like thrush.
Good luck, hope it clears up soon xx
