Hiya traci,

I think it depends on your surgeon hun, some like to use them some don't. That's what I was told at the hospital I had my op in. I had drains and I didn't find it a problem.

Are you walking a little bit hunched hun, I know I did at first and I got terrible backache.

Hope you're feeling okay. xx

Back ache is off hunching over hun. I find it worse if i've not been propped up. x

I had terrible back ache from sleeping up right. It was in the small of my back. I found a hot water bottle helped loads though! xx

I think I had back ache as I ws hunched, so worried some one would bash into me, I felt I had to protect myself.

i got backache the first week or so, and i was worried it was the weight of my boobs, but once i started sleeping flat instead of propped up, the backache went

I think the backache comes from hunching, partly from protecting new boobies and partly because everything is so tight. Doesn't last too long tho hun

I think the drains thing is sometimes down to the surgeons preference. I had drains as I had unders and it is to drain away excess blood etc

I have mostly shoulder ache, i think that is from hunching so I am making a real effort not to

Simply down to a surgeons preference, nothing more hun. Some surgeons feel drains are beneficial and some don't.

It's not the weight of of your boobs babe, I know they feel very heavy at the moment ealy post-op, but that's due to the swelling hunni, not the implants, in reality your implants weigh hardly anything.

The pain generally comes from as others have already said, being hunched over and the alien sleeping position of being propped up.

Try using a pillow under your knees when sleeping hunni and using a hotwater bottle on your lower back.

Be aware of your posture when standing and although you will instinctively want to hunch (I think this is due to the tightness from the swelling) do try stand straight if you can. xx
