Weight training and BA's Empty Weight training and BA's

Post by sarahdawn31 28th August 2010, 9:48 pm

Hi again Ladies,

I have my BA & lift Oct 6th 2010...

I weight train on a regular basis and I know I will obviouolsy have to take time off training post op and my Dr pushes for ALOT of time off avtivity post op as he says the better u treat them post op the better they settle...
But I am just wondering when I can resume light walking first (I am thinking maybe after 2 weeks) Then increase cardio to more vigorous workout around 6 weeks? I am not sure when I will b able to start with weights again?

Any suggestions!?!?!

Thanks!!!!!

I was told nothing for first 3 to 4 weeks then light exercise but no upper body tuff then after 6 weeks return to normal as if nothing had happened.
I'm 6 weeks on Wednesday and this weekend I'v started to get back into the swing of things but lightened the load on chest press and tricep dips.
If anything hurts or is uncomfortable I stop.....general rule here is listen to your body.
Trust me though 6 weeks flies by and your so pre occupied with your new assets you hardly think about the gym x
