Still really sore when i walk
Hi Everyone,
Im feeling a bit down about my recovery today, im 2 wks post op after having my Pips replaced, which is a massive relief and im really happy about but i seem to be struggling more this time around. Ive been resting and eating healthy and i dont smoke so am being as sensible as i can.
The main problem is i feel really sore at the bottom of my boobs around the incisions when i walk that i still cant really do that much and i'm still in pain. Anyone else had this?
I had my post op check up and the nurse and surgeon both seemed really pleased with my healing and just said it was normal but i think i'm feeling down because i never had this with my 1st BA when after the first week i seemed to recover really quickly. This time i had a capsulectomy and an extra 140cc so do you think thats why im taking longer to heal?
Anyone else felt more sore when they had a capsulectomy?
Sorry to moan!!! I just feel frustrated that im still so sore!

Re: Still really sore when i walk
I had a ruptured implant and underwent a capulectomy hunni and have had a much harder time in my recovery this time.
Eight months on and I'm still recovering but my surgeon is happy with my progress and I trust his judgement. Not a nice thing to have to go through and I do feel for you hun, but yes, unfortunately a longer recovery is normal for this more invasive surgery

Hi Cookie,
Yes i read your journey the other day!..you really did go through it. Its good to know you came out the other side .Are you still in pain tho? Think i just expected to feel a bit better by now but i think i should stop comparing it to my first BA as like you say its more invasive and im starting to think i had a very easy ride last time xx

Re: Still really sore when i walk
I'm no longer in pain as such hun, but my left boob still really aches, my surgeon said as that's the boob with the ruptured implant damage he had to do extensive work to sort it out as the implant was completely torn, so it's going to take some time to heal but all is all normal. Nothing I can't cope with though sweetness. xx
