Re: can i boyfriend walk with me to Theatre?
I'm not too sure how they do it these days,
But when I was 5, I had my tooth taken out (yes, i went under GA coz I was a little drama queen!! haha) and my mam and dad didn't come down to the theatre with me, I just had a nurse. I don't know if that was their choice or if it was because they wasn't allowed down there with me? I should probably ask them....maybe they just didn't care and couldn't wait for an hour of peace and quiet hahaha xxx

I doubt very much your boyfriend will be able to take you through to theatre sweetheart.
I really wouldn't get your self stressed about it, your boyfriend should be able to stay with you in your hospital room until one of the theatre nurses comes to collect you, they're VERY experienced in dealing with nervous patients and will very much put you at eas. There's absolutely NOTHING for you to fear, the surgery is like the blink of an eye, really! It's like you go into theatre with no boobs, you blink and open your eyes and BOOOOOOOBBBBBBSSSS! It really is that quick and easy babe, don't worry about, you're gonna be OK! xx

Yup, a nice hot bubbly bath, lovely meal, plonk in front of the telly with a bag of munchies, then a nice cup of whatever relaxes you (careful of the timing when you must stop eating and drinking before surgery) and then bed.
Really sweetheart, just read all the BA stories here in the stories section, they're not only a great read, they're great for easing fears before surgery too.
It's really not that bad and you get great boobs after too! xx

The first surgery that I had GA with I was soooooooooo scared and the nurse said honey are you scared I said YES and started bolling a second later I was out of it ( NO MORE FEARS) as my husband stood there they put something in the IV and it was over laid there not making ANY sense!!! They deal with this DAILY Im sure ( my surgey was for endomitoses a female problem) so just tell them straight up!

Re: can i boyfriend walk with me to Theatre?
Hi,
I had my Hubby come down with me and they let him stay whilst they put me out. I had it done at the Guildford Nuffield and I mentioned in my pre op how worried I was and they said no probs Hubby can go down with you. They put me out in the room before the op theatre and he held my hand whilst the put me to sleep. Hubby said it was weird as they were saying ok Pete you can leave now she's out but he said my eyes were still open. I just remember him kissing my forehead and then I was waking up in the recovery room.
Honestly hun whether he can go down with you or not you will be fine and the staff will be trying to make you laugh and take your mind off of it so try not to worry.
Good luck xx
