Re: how long for swelling to go down?
I think it's different for everyone hun, most of my major swelling went in the first week and by 2 weeks it was gone. Others have had it quite a bit longer. Just make sure you drink plenty of water, cut down on salt intake (causes bloating) and eat healthy to aid healing and reduce swelling. Also sleeping propped up (not sat up) just so your head and shoulders are elevated and this should all help the swelling go down nicely.

Hi Abbie, 460's eh thats big, i should imagine you are a bit swollen, about a week for the initial swelling to go down i found and then the sunburnt feeling kicked in, then they swell and go down and swell again... get my drift ....all good fun, ice packs are fab and sleeping propped up a big help, your anti-inflammatorys will help too, and rest, rest rest... let everyone look after you..

You may find find at one day post-op you have more swelling to come yet babe, it's usually at it's worst at 3 days post-op but don't worry it's all perfectly normal.
We all heal differently so just take a day at a time babe, listen to your body, rest when you need to, ensure you're moving around and as the other ladies have said, keeping your head and shoulders elevated and icepacks across the tops of your boobs will help aid the swelling lots. xx
Re: how long for swelling to go down?
I didnt really notice any swelling as such on my actual boobs but i was so swollen around my ribcage.....I went fron 27inches to 34!!! It took about 4-6 weeks for mine to return to normal....around the 4 week mark my 34 bands sized sports bra started to get a bit loss then by 6 weeks it was baggy! but when I 1st put my sports bra on it felt soooo tight.....in time it all starts to feel better!
