bra confused
i was a little naughty today and popped into town to get a couple of bras for when my 6wks were up,
im currently in a 36dd sports bra, so i brought a 36dd underwired bra, it fitted strange, i couldent get all my boob in the half circle of the underwire, it seem to overlap it at the side, am i being dim and needed a e cup?
quite a bit of my boob is under my armpit still, maybe because of a bit of swelling still,
it didint seem gappy around the nipple, confused,

Re: bra confused
As much as you want to buy bras before your 6weeks are up, I really wouldnt recommened it hun. I'm only saying that cos I know for my own experience that the bras I brought before 6weeks no longer fit me now. Also as you have found you couldnt get your boobs in the cup, I too had this problem before about 5ish/6 week mark as my boobs just hadnt dropped enough and to be honest it was very uncomfortable even to just try a bra on. Of course you could possiblely need the next size up aswell. Problies best to wait till 6weeks are up then get messured. x

Re: bra confused
I agree, I too wouldn't recc you buying any bras (tempting as it might be) until after the 6 weeks. After this time I would get measured at a specialist bra fitting shop, who will be able to measure you into a fabulous bra! Bravissimo are really good, if there's one near you
It is difficult, I remember I just couldn't wait to get measured, but it really is the best thing to do hun, otherwise you may find that in a few weeks time them bras don't fit you anymore.
There are lots of changes, even in the first 6 weeks, so best to wait hun as recc.

Re: bra confused
I'm another who thinks you should wait until your PS think it's OK for you to start wearing underwires too. Along with what Pinkbabe and Funkygirl have already said you should also consider that at 13 days post-op your implants may not yet have adhered to the pocket and in pushing your breasts upwards with underwires, you could well be putting back your recovery hunni - We all understand how exciting it is to get into pretty bras, but think about how long you've waited for those lovely new boobs, how much you've paid for them and how much you want the best result possible from them babe - The only way to achieve that is to follow the advice of your surgeon hun. xx

Re: bra confused
I think it depends on what your surgeon advises, as mine said I could wear underwires pretty much immediatley. I didnt as it was uncomfortable, although I did as a one off on my sisters wedding day and I wasnt quite 4 weeks post op then xx

Re: bra confused
Bumblelady, theres a bravisimo in Brighton, not sure if theres another one near east grinstead. I was thinking of getting measured at la senza, has anyone else used them for measurements?
(i got painful memories of my 1st measurement as a teenager and got laughed at by the shop assistant, so am dreading it a bit! )

Re: bra confused
la senza in my town is ok, but there all very young girls and i would prefer a more experienced person to do it, brighton is a bit of a treck but i may go there,
bravisimo is quite pricey also, maybe m&s is worth a try,

Re: bra confused
I'd get measured proffesionally as you want to make sure those new boobies get the proper support. It's a bit early yet, but 6 weeks does fly by.
Re: bra confused
I agree with the other girls xx I wouldn't wear / buy any bras until you are given the all clear by your PS hun xx
I would say that the cup size was way too small anyway if your boob was under the arm not sitting in the bra properly xx could be down to swelling or fluid Like Cookie said your implant might not be adhered to the pocket properly and you may be damaging your healing process.........
Consider yourself told off Bumblelady lol xx
In relation to buying bras in the first few weeks, well don't go nuts, I kinda did and now have several nice bras that i've worn maybe once or twice and now they don't fit Must dig them out and put them up for offer xx
