confused!!
hi ya all!! well i got my blood test results today from docters, and i asked at reception what the results were and she said liver function test was normal, and the platelets were "satisfactory". so i asked her if i could have the results so i could send them back to transform n hopefully re book my ba, but when i read through the paper,it says-platelets-98 abnormal. so how can they be satisfactory!! ugh, really stressed now, i guess ill have to just wait n see what transform say when they recieve the results through the post, and i booked another docters appointment for thurs to find out whats going on,it just feels like im not getting any answers from my docters at all, but im not gunna leave this one until i get to the bottom of it x

Re: confused!!
hi ya,thank you for that link hun,i copy n pasted this-In patients undergoing surgery, a level below 50 x 109/L is associated with abnormal surgical bleeding, and regional anaesthetic procedures such as epidurals are avoided for levels below 80-100
here is what mine says, -platelet count= 98 10*9/L ABNORMAL.
so coz mine is over "50 x 109/L" then hopefully this means its ok!! oh i do hope so, lol!! im just clutching at the straws now and praying this is what it means!! all these numbers n levels are way to confusing for my tiny brain!!! ha ha xx

Re: confused!!
Hi mizzzpink23!
Been thinking of you!! I think it may be wise to have your G.P. clarify and explain the results to you, also, to speak with P.S. rather than a P.C. at clinic. Perhaps, if you had some sound advice and explainations you may be able to have a date to look forward to. Are they taking regular tests etc. referring you on to someone with greater knowledge in your condition? I really have no knowledge of this condition other than what you and others have provided, but, it seems you are being pushed from pillar to post from what you say with noone taking charge of it for you.
I truly wish you well and a speedy high count ! xx
