Re: March Buddies
Its so exciting, I can't believe its actually happening. The hospital phoned me yesterday to go through my medical questionnaire and I had my MRSA swabs in the post this morning. I think I'm going to treat myself to my final glass of wine tonight. All systems go!

Re: March Buddies
Yay that March is now here and it will be our turns now.
Got so much still to do before Wednesday and will get a call from the hospital tomorrow telling me my admission times etc, so can finally sort out the childcare for the kids.
Going to pack my bag tomorrow. eeeeeeek.

Re: March Buddies
Have you got some snacks to take too Hun just incase you want something to nibble on?
I don't know my admission time until tomorrow when they ring me. It's a nightmare really as I need to know if my kids need to stop at their nan'a the night before or not.
I will be thinking of you babe as we get to share our special day together. Xx

Re: March Buddies
Good idea re snacks!
Keep thinking that there must be something that I've forgotten. It all seems to have come along really quickly. I've wanted it done for so long but never thought I'd actually go through with it but once I'd 100% decided to go ahead with it that was it! xx

Re: March Buddies
Same as me Hun. Have wanted it done for years but never really had the funds available and because I wanted to have my kids first. Now I can and it's booked and has come up really quick.
Not long for us now babe. Have you got a camera ready to take?

Re: March Buddies
I start my two weeks of no alcohol today (not that I drink that much anyway) But, I have got a few nights out coming up so I need to think of my best excuses! One is with my mother in law and sister in laws - it is probably the longest I've ever spent in a room with them. I'm going to wear the biggest padded bra I can find to avoid questions later on.

Re: March Buddies
2 weeks today for you MrsCheese, how exciting. I did have a few drinks at the weekend as we went away for my birthday but I didn't have to much as I was too aware of whats happening on wednesday.
You could always have a coke and tell them that its a vodka and coke?

2 more days for you I don't know how you will manage to do anything! I'd be like a bottle of pop and bouncing off the walls!
Good thinking on the vodka and coke. Thanks

Re: March Buddies
Like that coke (fake vodka) idea and you could always say that you are on antibiotics for some reason and you are not allowed to drink ;) xx

Re: March Buddies
Or orange juice and say it has vodka in it? You can fake a vodka drink quite easy.
2 days is crazy, can't believe its so close. Just trying to tie everything up at work ready for having the time off. Got to sort the house out and and the kids and make sure all of the food shopping is done tomorrow. Trying to keep busy so I don't get nervous. xx

Re: March Buddies
I might have to get one of those as it looks really comfy.
I am hoping I have less than 24 hours, but just called to find out my admission time as they have not rang me to be told they can't find me on any list for Wednesday!! I am so angry. She is looking into it and going to call me back.

Re: March Buddies
That's the last thing you need- worry about administrative error. I hope she sorts it out asap! Let me know when you hear.
That particular bra is fab and sits away from incisions too. But definitely must try it on- maybe pop into John Lewis when you have your post op check. That's what I did. I got another bra yesterday to celebrate them being 2 weeks old and couldn't squeeze into 32E in other Triumph models so bought 32F Shock Absorber instead
I keep my fingers crossed for you xx

Re: March Buddies
They have changed the date to the 7th March now due to my silly pcc not completing the paperwork correctly so they never had me down for the 5th on the admissions list! I am so angry at her right now and I can't talk to her about it until Thursday. i have only managed to get friday due to someone cancelling their op so god knows when I would have got in! I am so cross as everything was planned with darrens work and with the kids and now everything is really messed up!
So angry. xx
