Are my boobs angry?
I have now been laying on my back since Friday and it really starts to drive me crazy.
But every time I walk around or stand up for 2-3 minutes it fells like my boobs get angry at me and wants me to lay down again?
The feeling is like this: one kitten in each boob starts to purr, there is no pain but I can feel nerves are going a bit "electric" and it sure feels like the boobs are expanding again.
(I have problems with swelling, so bad that the doctor was called to my room 3am. But he had a squeeze and said something about "2mm....it's ok....and then probably went back to bed so I haven't been worried because I can easily press the skin in 2mm on my boob.)
What do you girls think? That I should be rebellious and walk around a bit at home and feel the kittens in my boobs or should I be a "curling mum" to them and go to bed?
I don't know yet how it feels when you have "overdone" things as I'm only am 5 days postop and the heaviest lifting I do is my toothbrush...

Re: Are my boobs angry?
It's all normal - alarming though it may be!
Honestly if you can get up and have a totter about for a little every so often you will feel much better x

Re: Are my boobs angry?
Thanks girls! Yep it feels very weird and I think because we are so overly careful with our new 2 pieces of art it's easy to become a bit "over protective" and react on every little thing that happens.
I have been walking around now for 2 hours holding my phone and speaking to my mother in Copenhagen (without telling anything if she only new...)
I guess it has to be a christmas "surprise"
But the boobs feels like they did 2 hours ago so I guess they have an "angry-limit"

Re: Are my boobs angry?
Getting up and about is good, just don't go lifting, carrying anything.
When you stand try and straighten up rather than hunch, it'll help your back and your boobs.
And remeber to be eating well lots of carbs for energy and protien for repair.
As for swelling try ice packs over your bra on top of your boobs for some instant relief (or pack of peas if no ice packs). X

I have tried the ice packs but they don't seem to respond to that treatment but I use them anyway.

Re: Are my boobs angry?
The absolute worst you can do for the kittens is curl up all day Isabell - bring out that inner tiger of yours and get out on the prowl! Haha.
Seriously though babe. The swelling gets worse the longer you're immobile, after surgery you're also at risk of a DVT also so its very important you get up every couple of hours or so throughout the day and have a little walk about. It will get better as each day passes hun. Xx

And also because I had the "oxygen" reaction to the GA I know it's important that I breath properly and have good blood circulation. Laying in bed with heavy boobs have resulted in small breaths instead of filling my lungs full with air and then breath out.
I would guess it's quite common that girls with new boobs don't take proper breaths because of the heavy feeling on the chest?
I have been walking around and been out of bed all afternoon and night yesterday and this morning and my boobs don't get more upset or "angry" so I guess that's a signal that what I'm doing is fine.

Re: Are my boobs angry?
Awww glad you're owing better babe. If you feel up to it, a little short walk out would probably do you the world of good! But only if you're up to it.
The weight of new boobs and feeling like they're crushing on your chest and not being able to breathe is very normal, just KNOW that you CAN breathe and you're fine hun...if you panic or get scared, you'll find your breaths quicken and breathing does feel harder, but getting up and trying to walk tall even if its only a short walk across the landing will do you good babe. You're doing just fine lovely... Take things at your own pace, listen to your body, rest when you need to and be sure to be about about when you feel you can.

I felt exacltly the same as you and found that when I started getting up and about i felt so much better, when I stood I stood with my back against a wall and slowly straightned up, done that about 3 times a day, loosen up all those muscles xx

I agree, once I was able to sleep on my side it was bliss! Next stage for me is sleeping on my front, which I expect is a while away.
