Sleeping in Sports Bras long term
So i was planning on sleeping in sports bras every night even after im given the all clear to wear underwires but i was thinking do you think this will make any difference to them in the long term compared to not sleeping in one. Do you think they would sag more if i didn't wear one?

Re: Sleeping in Sports Bras long term
I'm paranoid about sagging and aside from I always moisturise and wear a sportsbra and use my kush to keep my boobs supported and to help prolong the inevitable sagging that will eventually happen to us all no matter what we do.
I figure the more I do now to look after my boobs, the more they'll repay me later. xx

They will definitely have much more chance of sagging if you don't wear a sports bras every night, my ps told me this and said to make sure I do. I wore one every night (even 4 years on) after my 1st BA and am still doing the same thing after my 2nd BA. x

Re: Sleeping in Sports Bras long term
Many people tend to feel more comfortable in the long term wearing sports bras to bed forever, I myself wore one until 7 months post op. I now prefer to sleep with nothing. On my personal research I've not seen anything to suggest that gravity has that much affect on sagginess while lying down in bed. However if my skin were lacking in elasticity I would propably be more inclined to wear one, just in case. I guess it's a case of personal preference. I think we'd all have differing opinions, but for the moment, mine haven't sagged an inch in my years of not wearing a sports bra. However I do have a hidden support pyjama top which I sometimes wear, that's pretty comfy.

Mine (I had overs) do move slot to the side when I lie down , so most nights I wear wear a sports bra to bed as i do think it would make a digference to mine, having seen them move so much. When I don't it's because I dont want lines after applying my fake tan! X

Re: Sleeping in Sports Bras long term
I was given the all clear to sleep without from two weeks PO, I don't particularly find it uncomfortable or anything but I prefer to wear a comfy sports bra.
I can't rate Sweaty Betty sports bras highly enough, I've got absolutely loads of colours and pop one on fas soon as I get in from work and keep it on for bed. They are a little pricey at £28 but the most comfortable bra I own, no nasty bits to dig in etc.

Re: Sleeping in Sports Bras long term
I wore my bra every night for 2 yrs with my 1st ba and have worn one every night since this op. I think I will always wear one as I dont feel comfy in bed without one. I am sure it must help a little bit with sagging xx
