Hi. Newbie here, need some advice please Empty Hi. Newbie here, need some advice please

Post by Belle 13th February 2011, 12:39 pm

Hi

I am 34aa and I saw a surgeon (Dr Singh) last week and he recommended 380cc unders for a natural look. I asked for bigger so he said 410cc over would just start to look fake. When I asked for bigger again he said can do 460cc over but I will probably be able to feel the implant. He said no bigger than 460 unless I have 410 and then come back in a year when my skin has stretched and have 525s. I said I'd like 460 but now I'm panicing. I don't want to end up looking like Victoria Beckham with horrible stuck on boobs. I would love to look a d/dd but am I realistically (sp?) able to acheive this without looking silly?

Some people have said go with what he recommended because 460 will ripple and look stuck on but others have told me to go for the biggest I can.

Any advice please?

Has anyone had a ba that was aa pre op?

Thanks.
xx

I was a 32A pre op and had 410cc to get me to the size I wanted which I thought was a DD but ended up a FF. My surgeon did warn me that I may be able to see my implant at the top with 410 as these were quite big and he didn't want to go any bigger as I would look very fake. I didn't mind having a slight fake looke so went with the 410cc and am very happy, I have no rippling, no stretchmarks and no visible implant.
I think with anything you really have to weigh up the pros and cons. Take into consideration the possible complications of rippling etc and how it could affect you after the op.

Hi misf1, thanks for replying. I didn't realise it would be this hard to choose! It's so confusing when people with the same stats have the same implant and end up different. You say you went from a to ff with 410s, that'd make me go for 410s but I may end up a lot smaller. They look amazing if that's you in the picture there <
Dr Singh mentioned that with the 460s I'd be able to feel the implant but didn't say anything about being able to see it. I'm thinking of going with the 410s as I don't mind a little fake. I'm just not sure if I have enough tissue to carry off the 460s over.

It is a difficult decision to make isn't it hun. Yes that's me in my avatar pic. I do love them. I would go with what your surgeon suggests and you would be happy with.

hi hun, welcome to BJS. Misf1 gave you some good advice there babes, it really is all down to research hun, keep at it, eventually it will all fall into place and you'll be ready to make your final decision, but as Misf1 say's, weigh up all the pro's and con's.....and any contra-indications that may arise from your choice of implant size.

Good Luck with it all babes....xx

Hi Belle, you should also consider going for a consultation with a different surgeon and see what he recommends.
If you are worried about seeing the edge of the implant then you should also consider having a partial under the muscle placement (also called partials) as the muscle would then cover the edge and hide it.
I know, it's terribly confusing - so a second or even third consultation might help Hug

ia lso think you should see another PS to see what they tell you... get a few pictures of what look you like and bring them with you, so they see you dont mind a bit fake looking, but not stick on boobs either... once they see what look your confortable with it might be easier for them to help you decide size and placement

I would agree with seeing another surgeon.

I had Mr Singh and he's very good with sizings. I tried to push for a bigger implant, 380s, but he point blank refused to give me them as I'd look awful (I'd have had the VB look, not what I wanted!) and would have compromised my result.

Have you shown him pictures of what you want to look like? As one person's natural is another's fake. If he's seen what you want he'd be able to recommend accordingly.

I'd def book in to see some other surgeons though. They will advise sixings and you'd be better informed to make a decision.

Thanks, will definitely get a second opinion. I did ask last month to see other surgeons and was told this would be okay but heard nothing since. I think I'll probably go with the 410s as Dr Singh said they will just start to look fake which I'm fine with. I just want to make a decision, I'm so stressed. xx

I started off a 32A (or so I thought never got measured), I had 295 cc round high profile partial unders, 8 weeks ago and am now a 30F - so you just can't tell what the end result will be. Doesn't look too big or too fake though. Good luck and would recommend you have a second opinion, my surgeon recommended bigger than 250 cc or else wouldn't be worth it and no bigger than 300 cc as would look fake.
