Scarry end of the scar
I got some gel called Kelo cote and I've been used it on my scars for the past 10 days and my god, their look has improved so much. It's a fantastic product. The scar on one breast is barely visible! Wow!
However on the other breast, just at one end of the disappearing scar, I got that sort of tiny bit that refuses to disappear. Looks a bit like a blister. About the size of half a garden pea.
I don't know if it's part of the healing process as it is redish and sometimes itchy. It's very soft to the touch and I just hope there isn't any fluid in there. Sometimes I want to pinch it or squeeze it but I dread doing so in case I might burst it and cause an infection. I've massaged it though and it hasn't burst though. Instead it flattens a bit and then again raises. Grr!
Has anyone experienced it? Is it normal scarring? Shall I ask my ps for advice?
Thanks girls xx.

Re: Scarry end of the scar
It sounds like something I have Adrianne, at the end of the scar line there seems to be a small ball like look to my incision, I think this is where the end of the stitches were tied and sometimes this can occur. I'm using circa sheets and although mine has flattened out somewhat it still hasn't settled completely so that it sits flat.
There was talk of me maybe having a botox injection into the site but I'm seeing how I go with the silicone sheets first.
Hopefully yours will flatten with the aid of the scar remedies.
It's not something you should be rushing to your surgeon with and you're doing the right thing treating it with a scar remedy, but I do think you should mention it to your surgeon so that he can keep an eye on your progress and offer any advice he may feel he'd like you to follow.
I've an appointment with my surgeon in a couple of weeks so if you're still experiencing the same problem I'll let you know what my surgeon said. xx

Re: Scarry end of the scar
Could it be an undissolved stitch maybe? What Cookies says makes sense too though xxx

Aw bless your heart cookie I really appreciate it.
I'll continue to use the gel and see how it goes. My next consult is only a month away so if there's no improvement by then, I'll definitely get worried. I look forward to hearing what your ps says about this.
Thanks babe. xx
