Sports bra & exercise
Hi all,
I am 11 days post op and have been having trouble finding a comfy bra. Im now on bra 6...I have spent a fortune on all these ugly sports bras trying to abide by wat the surgeon says! I finally found an 'ok' one...one of the most expensive I could find, and its bearable. To be honest tho, the only time Im comfy is when i am lying on my back, with No bra on.
Did any1 else have this problem? I cant wait to wear a normal bra!! Also when do u think its ok to start back doing mild exercise...I will turn into a buffalo if I wait 6 whole weeks lol xxx

[moved from support & Faqs]
At 11 days post-op hunni, you're still very early days and probably still swollen which will be causing the discomfort, so the more supportive your bra is, the more comfort you'll gain from it hun, but as the swelling subsides it does get better sweetie.
You're fine to go walking now babe! Get your trainers on and go for a nice long walk! That will help to maintain your waeight as well as well as watching your diet hunni, with sitting around so much it's all too easy to start comfort eating out of boredom, so get yourself active hunni, don't overdo it, but you're perfectly fine to start walking, this will also help to get rid of any swelling you have too. xxx

Re: Sports bra & exercise
That's a relief! The swelling has gone down a good bit, which i'm pleased about. Im back at work today, so getting back to normal, I hope the discomfort goes away pretty soon!
Also, would Arnica help? or is it only for bruises? I didnt have any bruises at all, but was just wondering if i could be used for the swelling?!
Thanks cookie...ps....great pair! ;) xxx

Thank you Woosie! xx
To be honest, I found the best medicine to aid the swelling was ice packs! (bags of frozen peas/rice) placed over the tops of my boobs, it really does help reduce the swelling and I can't even begin to tell you the relief I got from them!
I know you can't sit in work with a bag of frozen peas sat on your chest LOL but when sitting watching TV or listening to music of an evening, just pop the ice packs on your boobs, you really will get the benefit from that hun. xx
