exercise before my op
Hey ladies!
I am just wondering if it will help with my recovery if I work out my chest and arms before my operation? I am going under the muscle and heard it heals quicker if you have a stronger upper body?
Thankz xx

Re: exercise before my op
No idea but will be interested to hear what others say, I swim several times a week but have been wondering whether or not to start using the gym before BA, to improve stomach muscles (as someone said on here that they need to be strong to get you out of bed when you are struggling to use your arms - especially if you have under the muscle)

Re: exercise before my op
I lift weights every day. My PS and a lot of the bodybuilders I know where told NOT to train chest at all as it tighten the pecks which makes it a lot harder to place the implant. I stopped training chest months ago. As for arms they are good to keep training I did my last train today and that was tri's and bi's. I have stopped training now as I don’t want to be recovering muscles when i’m trying to recover from my BA. Just don’t push yourself to hard or you’ll end up hurting yourself and you won’t be able to have your BA until you heal.
Hope this helps

Re: exercise before my op
i have to say i have noticed how much stronger my stomach is now from using it so much more and my legs from bending from the knee like a squat instead of bending over. but yes it makes sense not to have your pecs tooooo developed as the muscle will be stronger and would i suppose logically make it harder to get under it and make it tighter. maybe just stretching your pecs would be a good idea?
