Drains?
How many of you had drains?
Does it depend on where you go/surgeon.. I'm not sure

Re: Drains?
I didn't have drains, Mr Adamo prefers not to use them if possible but of course it depends on the individual case as well.

Re: Drains?
Hey Hunni
Yes, it depends on the surgeon. I didn't like the idea of drains much, but that's what my surgeon chose. I didn't have any swelling that I noticed after.
They did hurt when they came out, but it only took seconds, so wasn't unbearable. I've heard lots of girls say they don't hurt when they come out. I guess it depends on how much feeling/numbness you have post op. And how much of a wuss (<---- me) you are!!

Re: Drains?
Me being the one who had the damn 1% complication of a haematoma would highly recommend drains now, never had them with my BA and drains may have saved valuable time in noticing my internal bleed, it does depend on the surgeon and my surgeon said he used them, gave the girl next to me drains and me none!! She had a fantastic result and I had the complication! (Just my luck again!) Although I would NEVER wish what happened to me on anyone else xx

Re: Drains?
I had drains. I had to carry them around with me in a carrier bag lol! They were only in whilst I was in hospital over night and they came out the morning I went home.
I did find it really painful when they came out but it was over really quickly.

Re: Drains?
They're used to drain excess fluid/blood after the op hun, it collects in the bottles at the end of the tube, if you dont have drains you will have a little extra swelling but your body soon absorbs it xrenz wrote:mr topping doesn't use them, but what are they??? I'm confused x
Re: Drains?
I didn't have drains. I've read experiences of girls who say they're quite painful coming out, while others say they're no problem at all.
