Re: July Buddies!
hi girls i read nikola99's thread late last night and was hoping that she didnt go ahead with it, so glad she decided to stay in the uk, much safer for her and she should be thankful that the ladies on here are so clued up lord knows what could have happened eh!
bra extenders are a fab idea, must get one, most uncomfy at night time my ribs absolutely kill me, my bra keeps digging in so bad, and i have got a bit of bruising.
Has anyone tried driving yet? i did today felt like i was driving a bus underwater, it all felt heavy and like it was to much hard work had to get OH to change gear and apply the handbrake

Re: July Buddies!
I'm hoping to drive about the ten day mark as have only booked ten days off work, fingers crossed I've not been too optimistic!!! lol
I'm actually so nervous now, only today and tomorrow then 9.30am will be in clinic on monday. eeeeek! But what makes it worse is having to wait until 4pm for surgery, hope I don't get too nervous and bail out and make a run for it lol as I've been having silly doubts all week but think it's prob nerves as I have wanted this for years. Think it's the GA which terrifies me to be honest.
So good to hear about the July post op girls- and goodluck to all who are waiting.

Re: July Buddies!
Hi Dee_86, only 2 more sleeps wohoo!!!!, your feeling exactly the same as i did the GA terrified me too, but theres nothing to worry about the nurses will look after you really well..
The waiting is hard so take lots of magazines and an ipod or something to take your mind off, you will probably have a tv in your room too..
Just keep thinking about what your getting in return hun thats what stopped me from bolting, and although im still only a week PO and still sore im very happy i went through with it (10 years of waiting).
Make sure you have a V pillow, its a god send afterwards as your back will hurt like hell..
good luck izzie xx

Re: July Buddies!
Hey girls, mine keep on swelling up to the point that it really hurts to wear my z bra, so i have got a 34DD sports bra for when that happens. Yesterday was really bad for swelling but today has been fine. Infact yesterday was the worst day so far. I think i pushed myself to much. Went to cinema and was aching like heck after that. Just chilling today - taking it easy xo

Re: July Buddies!
You shouldnt be afraid of the GA hun, as soon as your in the anaesthatists room, they keep you busy by talking to you whilst the nurses prep you and stick that needle in your hand! before you know it your out like a light and you'll wake up with your new assets!

Re: July Buddies!
Thanks for the reassurance re GA!! This board has become a bit of a lifeline knowing That there are always people feeling or thinking the same as me lol Yous are all very supportive and I really appreciate that! I'll apologise in advance- firstly coz Monday sitting waiting will be thee longest day for me so will prob be on here with some random chat lol and secondly as once I'm home I can imagine I'll have so many questions!
Not managed to get a v pillow yet but I will get one tomorrow one way or the other. Bought bra extenders today though, la senza do them 3 for £5 and pack has a black, White and nude one so seems pretty good value- plus who can put a price on pain relief lol
as always I enjoy Reading the updates on here and will no doubt be back on later (quiet sat night for me, packing case for Monday so I've still got time to collect anything which i may have forgotten).

Hey izzie37 I am a little bloated all not totally back to normal, sleeping is proving to be a pain in the ass due to husband snoring like a pot bellied piggy - it is driving me bloody MAD!!! I can cope with swelling etc, but the noise Is so bad, my daughter in her room is even being woken up and is shouting for him to shut up!!

I received my two sports bras yesterday yey!! OMG I didn’t realise how comfy they are!! My OH said I really suit sports bras as well lol! They do look pretty good so I’m very pleased with my choice! I decided to buy two M&S ones in the end as they had the best reviews.

I woke up to a message from my mum asking if i has researched, seen a co ordinator, nurse and surgeon, was i given the hard sell, what is the aftercare procedure...basically she went through the whole programme again for me lol bless i know she is worried but i reassured her.
How are you feeling today izzie?

Hi Blyth1
Single digits today - I can't believe it!!
Have you decided on your size yet, I think I am going to stick with what the PS suggested of 380cc.
I watched that programme as well and was horrified at the attitude of natalie rooney - crazy girl who has a lot of growing up to do.
