Back home with new boobies!
Hi all,
I had my op at The Hospital Group yesterday at about 10am, discharged this morning at 7am....Coped pretty well, no painkillers at all during my stay, although I now have pain and an awful 'heavy' feeling. I had natrelle lifetime silicone implants 340cc, wearing a 32E sports bra (very tight) and a chest band as I had implants positioned submuscularly!!
I'm finding wearing the chest band the worst...really uncomfortable! Has anyone else had to wear one, any tips or advice on making things easier??
Lots of love
Chris

Re: Back home with new boobies!
Congrats hun xxx 2nd day always seems the worst - I was in agony on my 2nd day and have had no painkillers since. This was my 2nd BA (both have been unders) with my 1st I had to wear the chest band - is very annoying but all I can say is that it will get easier you just have to give it time hun - once the swelling dies down a bit it isn't too bad. This time I had to wear bra (last time I only had the band) and tbh it is the band of this pressing on my incisions that felt the worst. Hope you enjoy your new boobs hun xxx

Aww thanks Kate,
I know it will get easier, I just keep thinking have I done the right thing. Deep down I know I have it just seems surreal and alien at the moment and of course the pain makes you doubt it even more!!
Still I certainly like the look of them so thats a motivator lol xx
Thanks again and hope your getting on ok x

Re: Back home with new boobies!
Congratulations on your ba. I didn't have unders so can't give you any advice there, but I'm sure it will get easier as the days go by.
Just keep having a peek at your new to keep your spirits up.
Happy healing.

LOL it is definitely the pain that has you thinking "What have I done" - by last Thursday that was all I was thinking too - this time next week you will be delighted - I'm already counting down the weeks till I can get measured and get normal bras LOL - cheered myself up today by ordering pink sports bra from Debenhams- things we do!!!
Glad to hear you like the look of them - hope you start to feel better hun xxx

Re: Back home with new boobies!
Congratulations, I can't help with the chest band or pain, but it will get easier as the days go by. I think we've all had a few moments just after the BA thinking what have I done and is it worth this. But it's totally worth it and you will be delighted very soon and will forget about any pain you've been through.
Re: Back home with new boobies!
Congrats sweetheart! I didn't have a chest band but I did have to wear a compression band (That may actually be the same thing I dunno LOL) I didn't wear the tapes, it was a very very tight bandage around my boobs that hurt like heck! I just endured the pain of it hun as I was told it was needed to help my boobs, I was only in it a week and really appreciated my boobies being released all the more!
It's a small price to pay for your lovely boobs babe! If it hurts too much though just ring your clinic and ask their advice. xxxx

Re: Back home with new boobies!
Thanks girls,
I really appreciate it, I think my OH is becoming less sympathetic now lol!! Cookie...I think it is the same thing, on the routine post-op letter it states that it must be worn for 2weeks, yet on my discharge letter its got 6weeks!! I'm hoping that at my check-up next Tuesday they let me take it off, don't think I could tolerate 6weeks in a corset lmao!!
Thanks again girls, last night was really uncomfortable but I'm hanging onto the fact time heals!!
