muscle distortion
hi i am looking for girls who had under and their experience about muscle distortion
Here is my probleme i am 5"5 for
108lbs, (skinny skinny )i am going to have 3oocc and would to have dual
plane placement but here is the thing:
i am a house wife with plenty
of time so i go to the gym everyday and i realy like to lift weight,
So i am concerned with the muscle
distortion that can occur, i spoke about it with my surgeon, she told me
that due to my activity if i want i can get it over.
Now in my head it's like: what u want rippling or distortion ?
My mind was pretty set on the "dual plane" ..
i would like to know for who had under maybe the distortion is not that terrible? i don't know..
I would appreciate to know about your experience
many thanks

Re: muscle distortion
Hi - my implants are dual plane placement and I go to the gym 5 times a week. It took me a while to get back into lifting weights as IK was frightened about doing something to my boobs! However now I do everything I did before and don't get much distortion at all. The only think I notice is if I do press ups my boobs stand apart rather than 'hanging together' iykwim. I wear higher neck gym tops so noone sees though so it makes no difference. Mind don't look bad they just look false when I lift weights - I would rather have this, as I can cover them up at the gym, than have rippling if I wanted to wear a low cut top for going out but thats just my preference! If I have my camera out at the weekend I'll try and take a picture of me lifting a weight and doing a press up with just a bra on and you can have a look if that helps?

Ooo - I would be really interested to see this as I am having dual plane in a few weeks and do press ups so would be interested to see how they look if you wouldn't mind sharing ....
Thanks

Re: muscle distortion
Thanks you so much!
i know everybody is different and probably everygirls will have different degrees of distortion but it will definitely give me a good idea of what can happen..

Re: muscle distortion
I had partial unders and I go to the gym 3 times a week.
I haven't done any upper body or weights since my op purely cause it just feels weird, they definately do distort so I would need to wear a looser top so it wouldn't be noticable. Perhaps in time once I'm a bit more used to it I'll go back to the weights but for now I'm just building up my running again.
Sorry I don't think I've been any help whatsoever .

Re: muscle distortion
Just a thought ladies - is it damaging to the muscle or implant when they distort or is it just a case of them looking a bit odd ?

Re: muscle distortion
Did you say overs was an option, as you wouldn't get any distortion, if you have enough tissue to cover the implant you shouldn't get rippling. What does you PS suggest?

I agree with mum23boys, I am only 3wks post op and I wasn't bothered about distortion because I don't work out not weights anyway. Although they don't 'distort' when I tense the muscle it does feel weird, a feeling i wil get used to with everyday activities but i wouldn't want to do weights with it - just feels funny!

Re: muscle distortion
Hey hunni
I had unders and I do a lot of physcial activity, such as badminton, running, martial arts. I find that I only really get distortion when I'm pushing with my arms ... imagine mashing potatoes, or putting your hands on your hips and pushing hard. That's the only time I get it noticeably.
Hope this is helpful.

Re: muscle distortion
Revisiting this again now that I am post BA with my partials...!!
I am very happy with the results that I have gotten from this placement but am wondering about the whole distortion thingy... when I flex my pec muscles my boobies jump up and apart, like out to the side.
Is this what you ladies experience or does your boob go a funny shape too ??
Thanks xx
