I have heard of this and someone please correct me if I am wrong, BUT:
It is when the muscles of the chest move the implant and change the size/shape/look of the breast because of the implant displacement. I believe it only happens with unders, and is common among women who use the muscles extensively for weight-lifting, body building, etc. For those women, unders would not be recommended in the first place. Regular workouts will squeeze the implants, but not enough to do anything (but you might feel it). According to what I have read.

Hope that helps. Just goes to show why our surgeons ask us so much about our lives before they ever touch us. :)

As far as I know Java is right, however I have unders and workout..not extensively but I do lift a lot of weights and I definetly have muscle distortion when I flex, my right goes all weird and moves closer to my armpit...it's not terrible and I dont regret getting unders, but it is a downside of having unders unfortunetly :(

thanks ladies thats fab.
im practically immune to the gym and have been about 4 times in my life so hopefully its something that wont really affect me. I'd just wondered why my PS hadn't told me about it, he probably knew that if it was due to lifting weights etc, my chances were probably low due to my level (or lack of) of activity :P
thank you :) xx

It is quite common and it just depends on how your body takes to the implant. It is recommended that people who do upper body exercise ie body builders have overs as their muscle is so strong in their chest that it can in some cases displace the implant from under the muscle. I think it's just one of those things that you can get, it's usually very mild though. If after the op it is very bad, you can see your surgeon to discuss switching from under to over.

I would think if it was really bad, you shouldn't have to pay. I would discuss it with your surgeon just to make sure.

Yep I had this. Had a placement change shortly after my original BA and it all but sorted the problem. The distortion is still there very slightly but nothing like it was before. Ps said the slight distortion is now probably causes by scar tissue and will go over time x
