Stretch marks
Hi girls, I'm just over 3 months post op and have been attacked by stretch marks on the underneath of both boobs, they look unsightly at the moment but the worst part is how dry and flaky they are, I've been using bio oil every day but it doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone have any good ideas they can share cos I feel a bit self conscious.
Thanks xxx

Re: Stretch marks
I use palmers cocoa butter for stretchmarks and use it everyday (morning) and I use bio oil (night) as well, if the skin is flaky this may help or even e45 to stop your skin flaking. I took my palmers stuff to work with me when I had flaky boobs, I swear I was putting it on every 5 mins.
Re: Stretch marks
I love palmers cocoa butter too. My mum swears by it as she used it all through both pregnancies and never got one stretch mark! I have been using bio oil pre-op and will probably use a combination like misf1 of bio oil and palmers...when I am allowed!

Re: Stretch marks
As long as you don't get any near your scars hatttie you can use it now, I started using them both from day one.
Re: Stretch marks
Thanks girls, can I just ask how long after using it was it before you noticed the dry and flaky skin improved?

Re: Stretch marks
The bio-oil will help with your stretch marks hun, you need to use it twice a day though and it took about 5 months for me to start seeing any results. The marks will then fade to a silver colour and will be barely visible, they really will look so much better if you keep slappin' the oil on morning and night! It won't hurt to use the Palmers inbetween either, although I personally can't stand the smell of that stuff and prefer E45. xx
Re: Stretch marks
Just to add re flaking - I use those buffing gloves when showering to take off the loose skin, Just gently massage your breasts whilsts wearing those, then lashings of E45 when dry, any flakiness is gone in a couple of days. xxx
Re: Stretch marks
I found my skin hated bio-oil! It made me break out in gross spots all over my chest & boobs.
I use coco body butter from bodyshop or my daughter exsma cream! little bit naughty i know!

A million thanks hun, at least I know there's something I can do!
From reading your replies it seems I'm probably just not using enough of it!
Thanks xxx

Re: Stretch marks
Do you moisturise daily hun? The body deals with tightness and stretching better when its supple. I use a regular moisturiser mixed with baby oil (but you can mix bio oil for the stretchmarks) on my skin. Keeps it soft, smooth and stretchmark free!
