Re: skin feeling raw
Hi hun, i had that with my first op, skin was very sensitive to touch and even sports bra felt very rough on it, wasnt nice at all! It does pass though. By 4-6 weeks my skin felt more normal, i think its all the stretching. Maybe try a cool flannel on your skin x
Re: skin feeling raw

Re: skin feeling raw
Oh I know that feeling well, I still have it a bit even now, but I had an uplift so thats probably why. The worst of it eased off at about 4 -5 weeks, so not too much longer for you, but like nads said, something cool with help, I put a bag of peas on top of a tea towel (to stop the freeze burn pain) that helped x

Re: skin feeling raw
This was the worst part of the healing process for me so i know how you feel hun! it should pass in a couple of weeks then you will start getting flakey skin from all the stretching.

Re: skin feeling raw
how often should i be applying the bio oil, im currently doing it first thing in the morning and then again after my shower in the evening.
if i applied the bio oil maybe again in tha afternoon do you think it would quicken up the healing process of this irratable raw, sun burnt feeling? xxx

Thats the best way I can describe how my boobs felt, they were really raw and painful to the touch, like all the nerve ending had come to the tops of my boobs!
I found ice packs helped me through this period so much! I also used tons of E45 as it felt like my boobs were stretching to the max and they were very dry and flaky!!!.
Re: skin feeling raw
yeah i think ice packs or some kind of cooling is going to be the way forward, not so sure if i could handle cold peas as such might try a cool flannel tonight though!! xx

Re: skin feeling raw
Hiya, my boobs feel like this too and I've started to get dry flaky skin at the sides. I'm gonna start slapping on the E45. Mine are mega sensitive when I go out in the cold..it's a horrible sensation.

Re: skin feeling raw
Yep I got this feeling too Kerry... and you described it to a T (sunburnt feeling). I've been applying the ole bio oil too, but when I think about it, with it being an oil, it kind of 'cooked' me boobs
Maybe it was just in my mind, but I reverted to Palmers Cocoa Butter for the time being and that feeling seems to be fading :)

Re: skin feeling raw
I'm about 3 wks post op and my nips get hard if I even walk down the hall!! They are soooo sensitive. And so is my skin. It's like someone rubbed sandpaper across sunburned skin!! I think it's because of the raw/damaged nerve endings and they just need time to heal. I've had nerve damage from surgery on my leg before and it feels pretty similar. Haven't felt itchy yet though... now I'm scared! Yikes!

Re: skin feeling raw
yeah it should ease off soon hun, its just your skin adjusting as it has been stetched to the max hence the burning/raw feeling, once the skin has adjusted and starts to mend it will feel itchy thats when the old skin will go flakey and the new skin will come through ok, just keep adding your oil, youll be fine xx :flowers:

Re: skin feeling raw
I'm sure there are a ton of people who feel this way but I HONESTLY had NOTHING to start with so 500cc's gave me a full C/small D cup. I wanted a D. I just noticed today some dry skin so I put some lotion on. I really hope the itchyness is tolerable. I don't know how much more body pain I can handle. My back & neck have been killing me from holding babies!

Re: skin feeling raw
Kerry I noticed you had 460 overs and a mearusing an F. Can I ask if this was the size you wanted to end up with. I had 435 overs and at 1 month post op was a dd but I have to wait till 3 months to measure for underwire bras and will get a more accurate measurement.

Re: skin feeling raw
I have serious sunburn feeling just now. Been slapping moisturiser on them every day. Bottom of my boobs feels kind of numb, then the insides and nipples feel sensitive and the outside is okay And occasional itching just to make things really fun
